The Torgo theme always sounds to me like it's going somewhere. But in the end it just locks the listener into the undying expectation of something to happen while nothing does. Kind of like the movie.

Likewise here, and I seem to recall Kevin Murphy saying much the same thing; he always enjoyed the 1970s stuff they did because it brought him back to his mid-to-late teens, watching TV in a wood-paneled room while his dad was snoring comfortably in the recliner. :unsmith:

Whenever I watch the Riding With Death episode it amazes me the crazy stuff TV execs though would make for good shows back then. A guy who gets a radioactive blast that makes him invisible? How does that even work?

That being said, the episodes where they do 70s movies tend to be far and away some of my favorites.

The '70s TV eps are pure gold. Code Name: Diamond Head is my favorite; it embodies everything that made '70s TV suck, and it is perfect material for the show.

A really strange thing about Riding with Death is the backstory database which talks about how Ben Murphy's character went to Harvard. Despite the episodes, I mean movie, portraying the character as kind of a lunkhead.
