I really liked this game. In fact, it's probably my favorite JRPG. However I must admit, in my rigidity to follow the plot, I realized only just before the climax that I'd probably missed like.. half of the games content just by sticking to going where I was told. I'm not sure if this is a spoiler, since I don't think it relates to the plot, but just in case: I became aware of this when I found an island that seemed to contain some sort of stereotypical Japanese High School. I had no idea what it was there for, and couldn't do anything there. It's a mystery that's been gnawing on me for a long, long time.

I was way past my Anime-Is-Great phase I went through when this game came out. But still, I do love Kosuke Fujishima's character designs.

I liked the anime cutscenes in this game just because gosh darn it, I'm still a sucker for Kosuke Fujishima's designs.
