Same, but around 2002 or so. I remember the big thing was abstract pseudo 3d tentacle thing wallpapers (I think there were made in bryce or something). It's possible that it was always horrible and I was just painfully naiive, though (I thought that the "Anthro" section referred to anthropology, for example )

I'm sure the fetish/anthro stuff was always around, but back then it was a little more hidden. If you wanted to find it you had to go searching for it. Now it's so prolific that it's pretty much in your face right from the first page. I got these just from browsing the front page for stuff that was most popular in the last 8 hours, no searching. And there was a lot more where all this came from.

What's up, former Complaints forum buddy FlyinPingu I was young, I didn't know what I was doing, why did I hang out at deviantART, ahhh.

It was precisely around the time when Torture-Device and all of the other (actual, not teenage i-like-the-uniform) Nazis basically took over and people actually flamed you if you said something bad about them is where I deleted my account. I didn't even use it that much at that point anymore, but I never turned back. What the gently caress is that poo poo.

Sorry for bringing up discussions from the first pages, but ugh, so much this!

I recently got involved with the Complaints forum back about a year or two ago. A lot of people in there I thought were cool and I legitimately liked posting on there, but the Nazis just left a sour taste in my mouth. At first I tried to ignore them, but it became impossible because they would post a buncha hateful rhetoric in just about every thread or comment, and any post which involved in some way a minority (particularly blacks) turned into something that looked like the logs of a Klan meet with tons of eager Complainers joining right on in. When someone compared it to "Stormfront 2.0", they were not joking.

I don't know what was more sickening: the fact that Complaints was Stormfront or the fact that if you had anything to say about it, YOU were the one who got flamed. I left that shithole.

Alright, hopefully next time I'll have a picture to contribute. I got a whole lotta laughs out of this thread!

Whenever I am angered, you bring me comfort and patience
Whenever I am in a state of stress, you give me relaxation
Whenever I am in a state of confusion, you give me knowledge
Whenever I have fears, you bless me with courage
Whenever I have doubts, you bless me with confidence
Whenever my mind feels empty, you fill it with your voice and beauty
Whenever my life feels incomplete, you complete it with your presence and love

My dearest Midna, you are like a precious gem to me
With your seductive, crimson eyes, you are like a priceless ruby
With your ravishing, red hair, you are like a magnificent garnet
With your silky, blue skin, you are like a wondrous sapphire
With your lithe, purple lips and eyelids, you are like a stunning amethyst
With your alluring, green markings, you are like a brilliant emerald
With your perfect beauty, you are like a radiant diamond
My dearest Midna, you are the greatest treasure I could ever desire…

I don't even mind there being lovely art on DA, after all, it gives me something to laugh at. But there's a distinction between lovely art and straight up junk, and that junk is what often makes DA hard to sift through. Terrible phone pics of peoples wacky friends, paintbucket template recolors and then this garbage printscreen poo poo is just painful.

It all makes sence. In anime land, the people acclimated to living underground for many generations. As of recently they decided to live on the surface. Their eyes grew, so they are constantly dazzled now.

Well i scanned it again with a different scanner, i still miss my old scanner from mexico, and no its not as good as it looks in real life, it looks really bad like this, but if i can, i'll try to make some edits on it so it can look a little better, what i hate about this scanner is that it shows too much details from the paper, so im guessing that if i put my scanner in a lower quality (but not so low) i'll get it right, anyways, enjoy for now, I'll get a better scan later
also, its not suppose to look realistic, its more of a cartoonish look, so dont mind the disproporsions of her body and her tiny mouth
