well i think the thing is that there just wasnt really a canon. like almost every episode was "well we never knew this poo poo existed but well here it is" so yah cant really sperg abt it cause basically anything can happen and you just gotta deal with it

i tried to rewatch it and found i really didnt care for most of the characters. I think the plot managed to force everything forward. then season 3 was the worst thing since voyager and it was pretty much over.

the thing i got most out of BSG was that the first cylon war seemed way more interesting than the current timeline.

ehh idk i thought it was pretty well acted/written throughout, tho its definitely gets a bit lost-ish towards the end and you cant ell theyre tryin hella hard to wrap it all up n poo poo

oh and theres also a couple terrible actors in it too (lady who lpays sharon im lookin at u)

also still one of my favorite noevls of all time is riddley walker, which is just straight up so hard to read but gd is it good if you really take some time with it. it takes place like 3000 years after nuclear apocalypse n the language everyone speaks is like a super basic form of english. its hella cool tho cause everything they believe is sort of this mythology based on nuclear technology

here this part is basically that mythologt, one of my favorite chapters:

i can sit and read for hours, the problem is that i go through alternating phases in my life where i will really enjoy one thing for a short period of time and then move on. it sucks with books because i will get really far into one, then stop reading entirely for a few months and completely forget everything important.

hope youll move on from posting soon...

well, in my opinion, this kind of movie, along with snakes on a plane and other monkey cheese bullshit, isn't selling a movie, but is selling membership to a club that gets the in-joke. They made a comic and artificially inflated it's "cult" popularity by literally giving it away.

Now, I don't have a problem with this as a business venture. It's a great way to make money. But to go and buy a ticket to this movie, knowing it's likely a dumb piece of poo poo without anything beyond the packaging and ignore actual sci-fi releases in the sci fi thread is a bit disappointing.
except this movie has daniel craig, harrison ford, sam rockwell and olivia wilde and its directed by jon favreau who made two of the better super hero movies of recent times and its also written by the guys who wrote the newest star trek movie, so it really does have a good amount goin for it in terms of being an enjoyable summer blockbuster action movie.
