As someone in marketing I'm blown away by the horrible execution. Because those are all scanned off a box of Kellog's cereal, and when you are 13 and using a box of cereal to watch movie clips, you do not care about quality, you just think it's so cool. I absolutely love the knife clip.

Finally a actually funny sarcastic Spider Man. Hurrrray! I loved all the humour scenes, I don't understand the 2nd clip though I can't tell what is happening. Something something then jumps on ceiling of train.

He's passed out on the subway and some joker/homeless man tries to balance a beer bottle on his forehead, which ends up surprising Peter who [instinctively?] leaps to the ceiling. This could be right after he's been bitten and is when he discovers his powers.

I know Parker will take pictures of himself as Spider-Man in order to make money, but do the comics have instances where he uses his powers to actually advance his ability to perform real journalism? I'm mostly familiar with the movies, where his work as a newspaper photographer seems to be about as important to him, as a calling, as delivering pizzas.

He would often team up with reporters to take the pictures for their stories, but I can't think of a time when Pete had his own non-Spider-Man exposé or anything. He's not really big into journalism, just stopping crime. Then again, my memory is poo poo so I could be wrong!

It does bother me when its probably the only thing they are going to do with her. Yes because they made Joss Whedon the director of The Avengers, a woman's boobs bounce. THE HORROR. HOW DARE HE. Is this the part of the movie thread pipeline where we reach completely ridiculous levels of overreaction? I just wanna know what I can expect soon.

The focus wasn't on the boobs, dude. There was nothing wrong with that clip as far as I could see Or do women have to cover themselves up when they do action scenes for it to be acceptable to you or something?

TheBigBudgetSequel posted:She has boobs. Those things bounce when you move around. How is that Joss Whedon's fault? Killer Elite has a similar action setup of Jason Statham fighting someone while tied to a chair (it's rad). Jason Statham has a dick. Without proper support, those bounce when you move around. And yet we didn't get a clear center-frame shot of that in the movie, because things like costuming and framing are active choices the director can control. Somewhere between a third and a half of the Youtube comments are about Scarlett Johansson's breasts. Marvel knows what they're doing here. Optimist with doubt posted:Does two seconds of bouncing boobs really ruin the film for you? Are two seconds of bouncing boobs really necessary for you to enjoy the film? It's hardly the worst example of sexism in the movie industry, but everything I've seen which promotes Scarlett Johansson's presence in the movie has relied on sexualizing her, and it's gross.

Comparing boobs to dicks in the classic gender-reversal litmus test, while admirable and applicable in many situations, is a total false equivalency in this specific situation because boobs and dicks are located on completely different parts of the body and it is a completely valid cinematic choice to aim your camera at an actor's upper chest and head instead of their groin in an action sequence focused on their upper chest and head. Scarlett's got big boobs and they're gonna bounce unless you literally strap them down. Is it a sexy shot? Sure. But there is nothing exploitative or demeaning or lewd about it. Shhhh, relax, it's okay.

Your guys comments would be valid, if every drat thing that was marketing her character didn't have some sort of fanservice shot. Did everybody forget the poster where she has a pose showing off her butt, while everyone else just had one that made them look like a badass. How they are marketing her character reminds me of this comic
