Does it have to be subtext? Or can we just have, like, a scene where Clark is licking honey off Jimmy Olsen's nipples with literally no context in the middle of the movie?

It would have made Green Lantern incredible. Hal and Carol come in for the big, dramatic kiss. He's not into it. GL pulls back.

The guy has literally nothing going on. The joke with my friends is a Neal Adams issues story where the Justice League finds out he can't read.

This is true. I guess rough trade didn't seem far-fetched enough to me to warrant notice. I mean I kind of half expect that most superheroes feel that way on some level anyway.

Eric O'Grady. The only thing that Pym would do is hit her or make a murderous robot with his brain waves. Then again he was on the team that let Ms. Marvel go into limbo with her rapist/son.

Barely related and not really directed at you, but I think Marvel gets far too much grief for tying everything together for the Avengers. Yes, all of these movies are leading up to another movie and there are times when that need to get everyone to where they can meet up for the Assemble call infects the current movie. However I feel like a lot of it, especially in regards to SHIELD, gets shat on for being Avengers build up when it's instead just an aspect of being set in the Marvel Universe. If Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, or X-Men weren't limited in their character rights they'd probably have a lot of the same background things and interloping agencies/people that the Marvel owned movies do.

I'm very, very surprised they haven't brought Agent Coulson into the comics yet, like DC did with Harley Quinn. Then again, I'm also surprised that they invented a new character for the movies when any number of SHIELD agents from the comics could have done the exact same thing he does.

I'm happy they did. I find myself more excited for his parts than the characters the movies are named after.
