Does anyone have the tier4 quiver and a tier8+ bow? I got some small stuff to trade or I'll pay you back soon. I'm already racking in the loot solo farming godlands. It's actually quite fun/challenging with a badly statted/geared character.

Don't carry your pets around- you can keep the generator in your vault and still walk around with a pet.

Besides that, you should be using the key as soon as you buy it no?

The other stuff I don't really understand but I'm pleased that it doesn't seem to restrict access to higher level content. All the other F2P MMOs seem to require you to regularly pay or grind to get the little free currency they slowly dole out. This is just TF2 hats all over again right? You really aren't missing anything. Except maybe dungeons. Keep seeing conflicting reports on whether dungeon portals still drop from enemies or if they're pay-only at this point. The way they should've done if, if they had to go the pay route, is you buy the key once, use it, and then you'll see dungeon portals off the enemies that would normally drop them. Keys still cost way too much, though. You'd hafta drop at least ten bucks, maybe 15, to get them all. It's unfortunate, but not a lot to be done now, especially with the new influx of players. People are going to pay to get that content.

If so, I'll add it to the OP. Also, about the Realm Gold. It's basicaly just supporting the devs, who are great and listen to the community a lot. New players won't know this, but the Vaults are pretty recent. You'd have to have a couple different accounts, before, and use those as mules if you wanted to store anything. They also added the perma-name by request, since a lot of people would use the same name as popular players and make scamming easy (Since there was no trade menu either, you had to drop-trade. Which made scamming really easy, and even easier when you could just have any name and change it whenever you made a new character.) The different clothing color dyes have been there for a while. Aestethic purposes, really. Nothing too special. The pets are somewhat more recent too, and again, aestethic and in no way game changing. You can also buy some stronger health/mana pots.. not really game changing to be honest. As for keys, they're not special really. You can find all those dungeons whilst playing the game. They open up when you kill certain enemies (They only have a set chance% of opening, thought.) And thats it. I see Realm Gold as donating to the devs for running (and still supporting/adding to) this great F2P game for so long. From the Devs: quote:Gold must be purchased with cash. Pets are a special case. Pets are permanent and have unlimited usage, but you WILL lose your pet if you don't take care to store the Pet Generator in your vault.

Glad to see this great game get some attention. I'm in with Laffolos, on USEast3, if anyone that can guild invite is still on I would be eternally grateful, otherwise shoot me a tell if anyone wants to group.

Are the contents inside a chest kept if the character dies? I'm wondering if I can hoard items for my next characters. I'm assuming this is how it works else they'd be pretty useless.

Why are there like zero options in the steam client version? It's a loving flash client and they don't allow you to turn the quality down. And I can't find any options for keybindings or graphics settings or anything like that anywhere in the game, not even via chat commands. What gives? You'd think an indie dev would get that poo poo right.

While you're in the Nexus, the shortcut-to-nexus button turns into a cute little wrench, which brings up the options. Though this does not solve your other complaints.

I've played this game on and off for a pretty long while now, at least back since Paladins were the best class in the game and I was pimpin' if I rocked a Mithril Sword, Dragonscale, the top healing spell and a Greater WIS ring. Last I played was over winter break. I lost my mad pimped Priest (Cellar Wand, T5 Tome, Elder Robe, Exa HP) to the Tomb of the Ancients when I got lagged out by Bes when he decided to charge me after a 15 minute ping-away by 5 people. I didn't stand a chance, and since I outfitted that guy through my Amulet of Resurrection, it was really disheartening. I haven't felt that bad about a death since my best-ever 4.5/6 Rogue (my favorite class, Rogues own bones) got instagibbed at Skull Shrine when someone teleported onto me. The base game is pretty fun, but honestly, the treadmill gets really apparent as your characters start to get better overall. I've never had a maxed character and I'm pretty sure I never will, and I can't even play it when I'm at school because it lags way too hard on my laptop. If any of y'all oldies have ever seen Eraser chillin' about, that's me!

Rogues are excellent solo characters, it really helps having a rogue to find poo poo for the other classes. E: Anyone know what tier of armor/weapons/abilities equals one defense potion? I need to get into the trading habbit but I don't know what is a good/bad deal. For instance I have some golden bows, mithril armors and fame+1&2% scepters lying around. But out of all of them, I do believe that Def Pots are the most commonly sought out since well, they're the most usefull to your character's survivability.

Most every pot except VITs is worth some fractional increment of a DEF, and items are usually price listed by their value in DEFs. I dunno how much the economy has shifted since late December, but last I played, robes and staves were the most expensive, and Astrals/Elders were somewhere in the ballpark of 12-15 DEFs each.
