He was cut because he is still injured. He won't be able to play til later in the year after having a knee surgery this summer.

I'd assume if the Bears really really need a Linebacker near the midpoint of the season they would pick him back up.

McClain will be the fullback and primary blocker. But we all know that really means that he'll be a short-yardage back and waiting in the wings like a hungry buzzard for the moment Thomas Jones goes down or his skills erode.

He pretty much just needs to be a good soldier right now until mid-way through the year he takes over some of TJ's carries and replaces him outright next year if he shows some ability.

15 million is chump change and it's the easiest thing in the world to negotiate one or two contracts to get it under. People blow this way out of proportion

Literally 2 contracts

Extremely thin. We now have Beckum who has only had 21 catches and 2 tds in two years, a UDFA camp body from last year, and Ben Patrick.

The most logical thing that everyone is saying including our beat writers is to just loving trade Osi for Carlson.

By all accounts he never would have played for the Jets on a small 1 year deal because he considers himself better than Santonio and wanted a similar contract.

Jets only offered the same $3m they gave to Plax so I guess they were more correct in assessing his market than he was in the end. I still think he's a steal at that price but he really faces suspension and possibly jail time with this latest dust-up.
