Omg50BMG posted:People were bitching at first about how dare sig not bring something like the 551A1 to the US, and why it had to be this abomination that uses AR magazines, what was wrong with it using the original sig mags, etc. But if they had done this people would be bitching that the mags cost 80.00 a pop. I think the biggest complaints were regarding the furniture rather than the mags.

Putting the diopter sight on a rail seems like a step in the right direction as long as the diopter is of decent quality (a whole other issue.) Having to get one of those claw mounts to put optics on a modern "combat weapon" like that seems dumb and being a purist for the sake of being contrary. I totally want an SBR 551.
