Looks like a whole bunch of Kirby inspired insanity, but the look through it didnt grab me enough to warrant picking it up.

So. The new costumes. I really hated and kept getting distracted by them whenever I look at them in JL. But in Swamp Thing, they're absolutely fine, because they actually look like proper clothing, rather than making people look like weird robots. I can still see artists throwing a complete shitfit over drawing all those little lines everywhere though.

Hey I liked Animal Man from front to back.

I think I figured out why I'm so drawn into Action Comics. Superman is now Spiderman. Hi Aunt May. (this is not a bad thing)

The last three pre-reboot Starfire appearances I can remember:

Starfire shows Animal Man's kids what full frontal nudity looks like.
Lobo rips off her clothes, she doesnt mind.
She and Captain Comet are dating or something.

So the reboot sounds like more of the same?

Oh I'm not complaining about the costume's coverage at all. Compared to what she used to have, it's positively classy. What got me is how her massive thighs and hips shrink down into tiny abs, then burst into cleavage. Even with foreshortening it looks like she has thighs bigger than her waist.

SynthOrange

That just raises more questions! Where is she vaulting from? Is she in fact, dropping down from above and is about to snap that clothes line and plummet to her death? Why arent those clotheslines doubled? How do those people expect to get their clothes back? For that matter, how did they get them out there in the first place?

I dunno, I'm wary of the decision to remove the whole immaculate conception concept from her origin, and replace it with, "Hah, nah. Her Mom was just keepin' it on the DL."

I dunno how well giving her two mommies would go down. It'd be a pretty ballsy move though.

Yeah, good luck finding that with company books. That said, there are absolute standouts and terrible stinkers in the relaunch and as always, it's got everything to do with the writers and nothing at all to do with the reboot.

My personal list of comics I'll stick with:
Action Comics
Animal Man
Demon Knights
Frankenstein
O.M.A.C.

Action Comics was amazing. Animal Man has gone fron 'Holy poo poo this is so good' to 'Mommy I'm scared' territory OMAC was just crazy fun and so pretty. "This is unacceptable! You're my ultimate weapon! You're embarassing me OMAC!"

Flipped through Red Lantern and yup, blue butts everywhere.

Okay, the comic I was expecting nothing out of but continues to surprise me award goes to Green Lantern. It's been three issues of the universe making GBS threads on Hal Jordan as hard as possible and I'm loving every single page of it. Who'd have thought a schadenfreude based comic would work so well?

Demon Knights went from to to real fast.

Basically, PG survived the destruction of Earth-2 but when it was later rebooted (yup) she wasn't around so a new 'her' was created in her place.

Or I guess it's like Marvel's version of time travel. That might help explain it better.
