Wouldn't the pre-Cytran story be history, as in what's happening right now? It's like they can't even tell fiction from reality.

Actually I believe he thinks the doodle is 10% of the total production process.

To put this in terms you FedCom guys can probably understand: Have you ever played Resident Evil 5? Imagine how difficult it would've been if Chris could only run five feet without collapsing and all the angry black people had guns instead of crossbows and hand axes. That is the fate of Malatora.

The 22% of Cytran parts is probably the bits of his body that will be installed into the dragon superstructure. Like his brain and poo poo. It's the other 78% that exists solely in the realms of magic and fantasy.

You know, when/if virtual reality becomes feasible, I'm going to create an incredibly grindy MMO for furries to cripple them AND make a killing from a captive audience. From everything I've gathered about Malatora, a sufficiently autistic MMO would be like kryptonite for them. Edit: Patch 5.3 Class notes -Multi-dick talents can no longer cause Flaming Cervix procs -The requirement for epic mounts has been lowered to 11.

They should be more friendly. SA has 6,841 registered users logged in right now. If just 1% of those are interested in becoming dragon cyborgs they could easily triple their active membership. Possibly even more if the dragon thing is optional, I'm sure there are still a few dudes bummed out that Goon Island never got off the ground. A long time ago there was some thread about those overseas boot camps where parents send their delinquent children to be abused straight. I remember somebody speculating on what it would take to raid and liberate one of those islands, but at least that seemed like a noble cause.

Oh hey, Miss Sapien. So I said your avatar over at the robot dragon forum wasn't very good, and you asked me for critique. Now the entire robot dragon forum is in lockdown so I can't even find your post. Anyway! First off I'm somewhat puzzled that you're perfectly capable of responding in a rational manner to criticism regarding your artistic skills, but you have a harder time responding to the criticism of the whole robot dragon shebang. Secondly I actually sat down and tried to improve your avatar. It felt rigid and not very alive. I'm not very good at arty words. ![]() Ok so first of I did some stuff to the left arm. Try looking over your shoulder without moving the rst of your body. Doesn't feel too good. I tried to add a little twist in the torso. You may also notice the blue overalls. I figure there will be need for overalls, what with all the construction you guys are having to do down on that there island. At first I had put a spanner in the left hand, but after reading your replies to some of the posts I feel it's more needed to at least give you an idea of which venues you can go to not feel like a cog in the wheels of corporate America. I'm sure we all have that fear, even those of us who don't live in the US. So I added a paint brush and a palette that's being held by one of your back tentacles. One of the other tentacles is directing an orchestra. It's hard to see, but I've never tried drawing an orchestra before. Last, I'd like to add that it's not necessary for you to grow actual tentacles out of your back, or be a wolf in blue overalls, or a robot dragon on an African island, to avoid becoming a cog in the wheels of corporate America. All it takes is you. ![]() Also you're drawing a pony.

You know what? let's start small. I wonder how many of these people can even afford to travel to this secret island. I imagine Taygon won't dig into the donation box to spring for tickets. [e] Even if you get to the main land, how are you going to book a boat to the island if you can't even communicate with people? How are you going to keep the location secret from the boat driver? You can't pilot a boat yourself. Are they answering questions? if so can you screen cap? vvv

Any time I start thinking about all the mechanical questions that I never saw anyone on that board ask or answer, I come up with a post about a billion characters long. So in lieu of posting all that, I'll just say that if you haven't seen any diagrams, equations, or solid numbers even remotely detailing how to construct and run an artificial body, you're being bullshitted. Just ask how many kCal (or kJ, depending on your preference)a 1500 pound robotic body that can fly will consume an hour, just to move around and keep all relevant life support systems and etc. running. There are plenty of much, much more technical questions that break this whole thing apart (in spite of an ADDA certification and a year of drafting school). Christ. If you've ever changed a loving alternator on a car, or poo poo, played with legos you know how obtuse this whole thing is. Tanya, or any others of you reading this... it's really not even about cruelty, but it's about someone so buried in a traumatic fantasy that they're willing to bamboozle others. A philosophy of peace and friendship and whatever is fine. Having kinks and strange interests? Generally fine, depending on how weird things get. Lying to people (and to yourself) about a way to achieve your goals is, at the least, irresponsible, at the most, reprehensible. Cult leaders don't show people below their level of leadership the true inner workings because nothing exists there but an infrastructure of deceit.

The fun I wanted hasn't begun yet, but I did get Taygon to admit he doesn't need to learn the local tongue because "We are not integrating ourselves into a foreign culture. We have our own culture, which is very important to us. Having a different language is another point to support our independence from our neighbor."

Stultus Maximus posted:Why am I thinking "of course, the tentacles are just sprouting out of the back like some sort of fungus instead of having defined musculature connecting them"? It's a little hard to figure exactly how one would attach tentacles to a back, especially having them jut straight out like that. I do hope the other message in that post gets through. There are ways to improve on one's lot in life no matter where one finds oneself, in the free world at least. You're not a debt slave, be glad for that and use that upward mobility. This thread exploded since last I looked at it. Is that really their response to perceived "trolls?" The "you have to be a member for 60 days and have at least 200 posts" thing reminds me of a measure used on a certain site, to weed out uninterested members and spam-bots. Said site was a role-playing forum, by the way. Then, of course, they shut things down entirely. That's not exactly conducive to giving a good image of yourself, and certainly isn't the best response to criticism. As an aside, that bit someone did regarding nuclear physics sounds like they read a few wikipedia articles and think they know a thing or two now. Some of us have actually learned the subject in question, and know some of the transport laws involved. Here's a tip: You can transport lithium salts just fine. Separating them is gonna look mighty suspicious, though. Meanwhile, good luck getting ahold of any amount of uranium or thorium from anywhere; transport of that is very tightly controlled, and even trying to take a few grams of unprocessed sand would have dire consequences. I also have no idea why anyone would think deuterium, a stable and natural form of hydrogen found in basically all the water you ever drink, would need to be "contained", or why "radioactive lithium" would be useful for this. (Hint: radioactive isotopes of lithium have nothing to do with anything mentioned in that post, at all.)

A good number of the 'references' on Taygon's posts lead back to wiki articles. All the holes in the argument, all the seeded dark-matter information they keep alluding to, it's all because it's really not there, or at the very least not there in any rational or usable way. It's what I was getting at in my post up above.
