The spiky one.

Thinking back Stringer's voice is similar to the one used in the Prometheus trailer which just adds a strained twang on a few inflections.

Maybe it's only that bad in a few clips used by the trailer or he got pushed to make it sound "different"?

Let me introduce you to something:

That's pretty much the end of this whole stupid-crossover shared universe crap as far as being as stupid as you can possibly get, and exactly why a film like Prometheus is a breath of fresh air.

On the topic of the discussion, I think that Elba is purposely trying to affect a less cultured accent to match his vision of his character possibly being a little blue-collar-ish. Or at least that's what I pulled from the short clips.

If it makes you feel any better, the crossovers are "non-canon".

Having said that, the myriad Judge Dredd crossovers are actually "canon" to the main Judge Dredd comics, which is really not something that happens often with inter-company crossovers.

99% of the inter-company Alien/Predator crossovers are unmitigated poo poo, but once in a while there's some degree of competency to be had. The Dredd ones aren't too bad, mostly because they're written by John Wagner and he co-created Judge Dredd and he's a big Alien/Predator fan, so he actually gave a poo poo about making it not suck. There were two Alien/Predator/Witchblade/Darkness crossovers, one was absolutely godawful and the other ended up being schlockey fun because the writers knew they were dealing with an inherently retarded premise so they just went totally crazy with it.

That's because you picked one of the handful of Aliens/AvP comics that are actually good and "got" what made the movies work in terms of visuals, tone, and themes, rather than just PEW PEW SPACE-BUGS OH YEAH.

I especially liked how Labyrinth depicted the Aliens visually because it made them just really... otherworldly. Like they're tall but really, really skinny and spindly, even moreso than they were in 'Alien', and then on top of that they were still inhumanly strong.

It's something I really like about the design in 'Alien', something that was somewhat missing from the subsequent movies.

My mistake, I often get the two films confused. The series is really great though, it's much more like a police procedural that happens to feature vampires than a balls-out horrorfest. Shame it only lasted 6 episodes though.
