My last week has been really, really bad. But I am such a Grumples fan

he just seems like one of those Squishables cats and makes me feel a bit better. Hat is so goofy and precious too, he reminds me of my Clara in his mannerisms. You guys are so lucky to have such awesome felines, and I love you for updating us frequently!

The progression of them sleeping closer and closer is too cute, it was like that with my two mustache cats too. I remember the first time the grumpy gray slept next to one of them, my mom called me over to take a picture.

He's silly pretty much all the time. He's a ridiculous cat. If he's not fighting the laundry hamper, he's LEGGING it round the flat for no reason, or scaring Grumples, or rolling around demanding tummy tickles.

He's the best.

I just marathoned this thread over the past couple of days, it's amazing!

I love "ugly" cats, they're adorable and have so much character. Hat is awesome with his clompy feets and frown-y face and floofy toes

I must admit that I have a soft spot for Grumples though. He has EXACTLY the same coloring and markings as my childhood cat Socks (minus a few white feet and plus a few pounds) it's uncanny. Ok well maybe not very uncanny, tabbies are very common, but still! Socks was pretty grumpy too, especially in his old age. I miss that little guy!

Unfortunately my fiance is allergic to everything that moves so I can't be a crazy cat lady. He said I can be a crazy plant lady instead and I think I can live with that

I'll just have to live vicariously through you guys instead!

Is it just me or do Hat's eyes look a lot cleaner/less stained now than when you first got him? Seems like that's the case to me, anyway. I sort of imagine that it's because you guys are more diligent about keeping them clean than his prior owners, so the stain has slowly lessened - or maybe it has to do with him being healthier overall or just having a better diet? Or maybe it's my imagination, I dunno! But I think it's a noticeable phenomena and whatever the case I find that it makes him look happier and less emo (like he used to wear dark eye makeup but now he doesn't) or something

Well spotted, they're MUCH better. I haven't been cleaning them much because he hates it - they've improved all by themselves. Probably a better diet, like you said. He really wasn't well looked after at his last place.

I love the same progression I had with my cats of "holy gently caress they're laying on the same surface must take pictures" "whoah, they're slightly touching while asleep this is the best thing that ever haaaapened" "slight reciprocal licking gently caress yeeeeeah"

Then mine progressed to actually sleeping on each other and that's been awesome. I hope for Grumplehatpile.
