Some people teach their kids some simple signs for common words, because they can learn them before they really start talking. That way the kid can communicate better instead of crying while they try to figure out the vocals.

Even though it's low-calorie food, try feeding him less of it. The vet had me do that for my lazy rear end cat and it took time but she lost the weight. She also looks like a sack of bones because she refuses to exercise.

I have a ton of cardboard boxes and now I want to make a cat barn

Marshmallard I'm glad I wasn't the only one here staying up watching the whole thing. I laid in some good american beer (it exists) and made a huge batch of boston baked beans and watched it all with my brother. Good times I hope the moggies enjoyed it though I bet they basically just slept.

I'd love to hear what American beers you enjoy. There are many that I find acceptable but my favorites are all imports.

In other news, Hat just rolled on his back, so I tickled his tummy and he seized my hand in his paws! He did the little rabbit kicks they do, while furiously licking my hand.

On the whole, I'm confused.

Double edit: As you can imagine, the rabbit kicks were the cutest thing EVER.

Well, to go with the spirit we probably should have gotten some Buds or Millers but gently caress that frankly. Instead I went to Kris Wines in Kentish town (amaaaazing place) and got six Goose Island IPAs then two each of Brooklyn, Sam Adams and Kona. Brooklyn and Sam Adams were fine, Kona was good but the Goose Island was really excellent I thought.

I had no idea Goose Island was actually brewed in the US! They are very good. Personally I won't even buy Buds or Millers, but I like a lot of Michelob's stuff ok and it's about as cheap. I think Sam Adams are pretty decent and Sierra Nevada is really respectable. My favorites will always be Newcastle and Negra Modelo.

My male cat has problems recognizing when he's overstimulated, but it's hilariously easy for us to tell. He ends up going back and forth between biting (love bites only) and going Why did you stop petting me

marshmallard, don't worry about the lack of space in your flat. Vertical space counts more than horizontal for cats, so the tree should help. I always let mine up on my furniture too. I like to joke that I could teach the boy to play "the Floor is Lava." I probably could!
