End of Life Guy posted:I forgot who, but somebody smashed the Pokémon Colosseum record today by ~30 minutes due to a bunch of RNG hits and crits and the like. It was pretty fun to watch. That was BlkYoshi, and yeah, he basically had the God RNG that run. Colosseum and XD are more RNG dependent than other Pokemon games since battle animations can't be turned off, every extra attack you need to use in a battle is like an extra +5-20s (just ballpark) and it adds up very fast. To realistically beat his time, he would need a similar RNG luck streak, and to get rid of a couple minor mechanical errors.

As I understand it, the temporary solution that was used involved sending like a shitload of requests to twitch servers every few minutes, and unsurprisingly, twitch wasn't very happy with that, and blocked it.

Yeah, the big discovery was the setup using the speed booster to clip into the door to make it doable on console. Most of the stuff was already known thanks to kej as kennyman pointed out.

On Speedgaming 2 they're populating the swiss bracket for the ALTTP Open Rando tourney with a special hack played by Ben (ajneb174) winner of the last tourney. Non-progression items (Rupees, Bombs, Arrows, etc.) have been replaced by tickets with players' names, players are paired off as they appear in the game.
