If they included some really overpriced one-time "lifetime" payment plan I'd be stupid enough to shill out for it. Like if this game is something I'll be playing for ages like PSO1 then I wouldn't mind.

Paying for trading is already dumb, removing the obvious option for "whoops I picked up this gun as a force, you should take it" is retarded. Is there at least mailing items or whatever? I really hope hell gets raised and the prices become a little more sane. If I'm paying $7 for something like player housing I want to get it forever, not for a month.

I would say that as well having put thousands of hours into it but with the release of D3 I've found I lack the grinding dedication. D2 and PSO were my games back then and I just don't have the same dedication I did 12 years ago.

Keep in mind that you do not have to purchase shop access in order to buy from player shops, only to sell your own items on the market. VVVVVV - Yeah, it remains to be seen if that holds true for PSO2, but it likely will, depending on how severe that whole "certain very rare items cannot be sold on the player market period" things ends up being. Well it's not so much "oh man I'm gonna play this all day every day" grinding, it's more like having the option would sort of make it easier to come back if you put the game down. It might get kind of discouraging to return to the game off and on to remember that certain features you enjoy are subscription-based and just decide to wait on playing it until later or something. It's be discouraging for me at least to go a few months, pick it up again, and realize a ton of cool stuff I enjoyed was subscription and maybe I don't have the spare cash to resub. If there was just an optional flat "give us all your money you stupid idiot" one-time payment plan then I could just pick the game up and drop it at convenience.

Ship 2, block 20 was Reddit, PSOW, Neogaf and a bunch of other communities if I recall. I can confirm that /v/ and /vg/ were on ship 4, blocks 4 and 44, and will probably be there again in case anyone wants to avoid them. Either ship/block combination will result in obnoxious meme spouting, however, so all it really comes down to is if you want them spewed literally or ironically. That or we get our own block, but I'm not sure if this thread has the playerbase to support that.

As long as everyone ends up on the same ship, you can go to whichever block you please and still meet up with everyone. Even if PSOW/reddit/4chan/whatever shitlords are crowding up block 20, there's only like 50 other blocks from which to choose. Once you are in the game and have a bunch of people on your friend list and/or on your team, there's no need to even have a specific block. Just go to where your friends happen to be at the moment and ignore everyone else. On a more positive note, leaked advertisements from certain Japanese websites (which promptly removed them) state that OBT should be starting on the 21st if everything goes well in the pre-OBT. The date might not end up being exactly accurate when all is said and done, but I think we can safely say at this point that release is going to be within a month, probably weeks (depending on how long the OBT lasts). Dumans aren't going to be available at release. Surely they want everyone to level their characters up a reasonable amount before adding a new race that everyone will have to purchase an extra character slot to use.
