Tamriel Rebuilt has updated to version 16.09. Read more here Since this bears bleating all across the internet all over again and again, Tamriel Rebuilt no longer contains its own asset file. Instead, you will need to download Tamriel_Data. Please be prepared! Make sure to read the information about Tamriel_Data and register both BSAs in your Morrowind.ini. Register both Tamriel_Data BSAs! Both PT_Data and TR_Data need to be registered! Both! Not just one! Both! If you don't update and register both BSAs, you will encounter missing meshes and icons, actor animation class errors, and Morrowind will choke on the error messages and crash.

Don't laugh, one of our testers ran into issues because he thought he would do fine with only TR_Data. It's the #1 most asked question and encountered problem even when we only had one. BSAs, they are magic.

I've just started playing morrowind and I was able to kill the dark brotherhood assassin. The thing is, I don't want to go through with Tribunal until I'm a little further through. If I uncheck Tribunal even though I've technically started the first quest, will that cause problems? Or should I just kill the next ten assassins that come to kill me and sell off their loot? Also, how are each of the guild quests? I'm not interested in the thieves guild since it doesn't fit my character, but what about the others?

Just talk to the guard in Ebonheart (not the teleport lady in the castle, the dude who's chilling on the ramparts) and that should be it, no further assassin attacks. Then you can come back to talk to the teleport lady once you want to start the Tribunal questline in earnest. edit: Their names are Apelles Matius and Asciene Rane. If you want to clear your journal, go to Mournhold, talk to a guard, and then you can just go back to Vvardenfell immediately with the lizard dude. Guild quests are all fetch quests and kill rats/kwamas as I recall them. Probably some escort stuff too, to make it even worse.

One of Morrowind's most underrated aspects is that most of its dungeons, compared to Oblivion and Skyrim, are pretty short. One of the greater underrated aspects is that it balances out with the act of finding said dungeon.

The lack of quest arrows is underrated. Yes, it's one of the things people love most about the game. It's still the most underrated thing about it. Quest arrows are AIDS to exploration and immersion.
