I'm kind of impressed how monumentally stupid Ryusei is. I wonder how they're going to setup his redemption believably now. I'd prefer if he stayed as an antagonistic ambiguous "ally" rear end in a top hat, actually, because it'd make more sense.

Gen didn't sound even remotely pissed at Ryuusei, and he was probably pretty sure he was dead. He was just happy to see the real Ryuusei and find out what his deal was. Once Gen is resurrected he'll just smile at everyone and fistbump them until Ryuusei is accepted. Hell, it's not even the first time something similar has happened. JK already tried to betray them to a Zodiart for his own skin and Gen forgave him. Sure, he wasn't killed by it or anything, but JK's intention was still to sell the gang out presumably resulting in death for at least Gentarou for selfish purposes. And he's a readily accepted member after half an episode or so.

I hope they get rid of Ryuusei for at least a few episodes. Secondary riders disappearing for a few episodes isn't completely unheard of (not that I can recall any specific examples). I hope he does that and then comes back with a third personality since the two he's shown so far have been annoying for difference reasons.

He's a supporting character Ryusei is Kamen Rider Meteor, who has had much more focus than Gentaro lately. I'm sure you're right and they'll handle it that way, but I'd rather it come off as believable than the predictable solution. Then again, Gen's personality of taking everything head-on in every situation is one of his strong suits. Maybe that's the point. Still, what a HOLY gently caress poo poo WENT DOWN episode, so I'm okay with how they proceed from here. No matter the outcome. Yeah, it might work for him to exit the series for 2-3 episodes and come back "reborn".

A-Z is my first and only impression of OOOs so far, but it wasn't a bad one. I'm not sure if I'll like it or watch it all, but I give it credit for an interesting hook and a catchy transformation tone. 'Ta-to-ba! Tatoba Ta-to-ba!' The main character himself didn't seem like much tho. No Shotaro or Gentaro at least. (Maybe it's a -taros thing?) But it was a short intro so I'll still give the first few eps a try.

Well keep in mind that a central conceit of Eiji is that he has no real desire of his own (anymore, thanks to the war) and is pretty much an empty shell where none of the Greeeds can take hold. So yeah, he's gonna come across as kinda boring. Thankfully the rest of the cast picks up the slack, especially Kougami.

It really depends more on who happened to write the episode. Half the time he's a desireless void, half the time he's the greediest, most power-hungry person to ever live with huge, completely insatiable desires. Just depends on how they felt like writing it that day.

Close, but apparently not the same thing for the Greeed's purposes.

I'm not talking about that one event, I'm talking about all throughout the series, especially when they were explicit about it towards the end, even though it caused quite a bit of the series to contradict itself.

I wish I could, but we don't have an Ikea here in the Philippines. I do want to invest in a better glass cabinet eventually but ones here are out of my price range. I'll stick with getting acrylic risers for my current shelves at the very least. on a more on topic note: Tachibana, you could have shut Meteor down a little earlier...

The new episode of Fourze was great. I am going to go ahead and say that in keeping with the theme that everyone is acting in a play. That whole overly dramatic over done death scene was entirely an act. That might or might not have been aided by Zodiarts powers. Not that anyone ever needs an excuse to come back to life or anything.

Taking a trip tomorrow and all I can bring is my 16 gig iPad. I'm re-encoding the last half of Garo, and can probably at least fit half of another series on there. Should I do: -Liveman -Changeman -Dairanger (I have only see this unsubbed) -Gaoranger -Shinkenger -W I'm more of a Sentai guy (And I stopped watching Fourze after episode 24).

Akiba 2 is out, and man, it really feels like we're subbing a lite version of a SHAFT show. The next episode will feature a very, very gay monster. Everything in its name literally spells out gay, down to the "boys love" reference. Here's hoping that Midorin ends up voicing it.

I can't really argue against most of those faults. The separate Gokai Machines being unnecessary is something I'd certainly add to the list. On the Shinkenger side, I don't even know why they had mecha (outside of it being necessary for a sentai show) especially since they used swords as a control device? For me, that was beyond the pale for ridiculousness.

I disliked Gokaiger because Captain Marvelous was a tremendously unlikable douchebag who spent entirely too much time trying to be "too cool" for things and was often outacted to almost ridiculous levels by the guest stars and by Gokai Silver. Basically the best thing about Gokaiger was Gokai Silver.

It made up for it with the main characters though. I felt each member pulled their own weight, had interesting stories, and were all bad asses. Add on top the nostalgic/geeky references to past series (The Jetman and Timeranger episodes were amazingly good) and you could overlook the boring mech combat. I'm gonna give Shinkenger a go since I haven't seen a bit of it while I've technically watched all of Dairanger already. I'm really wishing I went with a larger capacity iPad but at the time the thought of watching video on it was ludicrous to me.
