Deus Ex: Human Revolution publisher Square Enix has teamed up with Something Awful to bring you the Augmentation Gone Rampant art forum contest!

We want you to create the funniest, coolest, or most creative art / photoshops showing ridiculous applications of human augmentations / cyborgs. Needless augmentation, augmentation put to stupid uses, ill-advised augmentation ideas, whatever! Just be funny and talented! The more effort the better.

Prizes

First place will receive a copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PC, one of the E3/SD Comic Con augmentation arm sleeves, a shirt from the Deus Ex art show in New York, and a full suite of forum upgrades!
Second place will receive a copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PC, one of the E3/SD Comic Con augmentation arm sleeves, and a shirt from the Deus Ex art show in New York, as well as a forum upgrade of their choice!
Third place will both receive a copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the PC, one of the E3/SD Comic Con augmentation arm sleeves, and a forum upgrade of their choice!
A number of runner ups will receive one of the E3/SD Comic Con augmentation arm sleeves!
Everyone who enters that didn't phone it in will receive a DEUS EX GANG TAG. It also doubles as a transhumanist tag if that's your thing. Make sure you indicate in your entry that you want one.
SPECIAL TECMAN PRIZE: DX:HR thread poster Tecman will be giving an entrant a free copy of the game entirely of his whim.

I'm not too positive on the exact numbers/ allocation at the moment, but rest assured that you probably want to enter this contest!

MIDNIGHT August 23rd. Midnight which time zone you ask? That is currently a mystery!

Well it is about Augmentations, from the game. I suppose you could ignore Deus Ex, but theme it to the contest and have a better chance at winning the game. It's a pretty wide open topic actually, but yeah, the more you make it about the game (the Deus Ex world, original or new), the better.

Bear in mind you really do need to bring some talent and creativity to the table to win. MS Paint won't carry you unless you're REALLY good at MS Paint or something.

You can still do something creative or funny, or interesting. It isn't limited to just photoshop and MSpaint.

Videos, song's, clay sculptures, yarn monsters, whatever you wanna make. It is a contest based on judge's opinions, so it should be interesting/good/funny.

That Gunther one is cracking me up too.
