unixbeard posted:let me play devils advocate for a minute here, has anyone else noticed all these crimes against bitcoins always seem to be perpetuated by foreigners?? The guy was interviewed before he stole the laptops and was most certainly a swede. He was pulling laptops out of drawers and shoving them in his bag while there were like 10 people standing at the door to the room at which he was stealing from. It was quite a site to see

Swedish guy was interviewed on the onlyonetv feed that was getting cozpoped by barbarianbob. He was opening a bank basically for bitcoins but that is unimportant to the story. After they did like 6 interviews they stopped the show and just put a feed up of the people sitting around chatting about bitcoins. So this swedish guy goes into the room behind them while everyone is busy talking about amazing bitcoins and staring at the semi-attractive woman who was there he takes off his backpack opens the desk drawers and steals 3 laptops by just shoving them in his backpack. He then walks out and i guess wasn't seen again

The micro-countries Thiel proposes are diesel-powered, moveable, 2,000-ton structures built on oil rig-like platforms, with space for 270 residents to live. Thiel believes these islands may be important in “experimenting with new ideas for government,”such as no welfare, no minimum wage, fewer weapons restrictions, and looser building codes. how could this possibly go wrong

I hope the looser building restrictions end up with the libertarians sinking their own oil rig and drowning by overbalancing it, the no welfare and fewer weapons restrictions end up as a rapture style hellhole, and the no minimum wage one ends up as a giant sweatshop where no one can earn enough money to leave because the one guy who owns all the buisnesses only pays 1 cent an hour.
