Metal is just inherently funny* genre, even if the bands don't admit it.
Sure there's some band that are openly funny like alestorm.
But there's also things like Panteras Walk, which is extra funny, because band itself takes it serious.

My Limp Bizkit story is that they were going to come to a local festival couple years back, but ended up cancelling and we got Amorphis instead as replacement.

Current Arch Enemy is completely unrecognizable if your only knowledge of the band is those older albums.

New(ish) singers growls are easy to understand, there's occasional clean vocals, guitars have gone melodic and there's actual guitar solos.
I have seen them on festivals and they're fun live band though, but completely different than before:
