I've been reading through this thread and found I apparently mostly listened to an entirely different metalverse. So I'll force you to read my list as well. Fvneral Fvkk – Carnal Confessions (there should be a law against having a name this awful) White Ward – Love Exchange Failure Beastwars – IV Aephanemer – Prokopton Devin Townsend – Empath Dead to a Dying World – Elegy Sermon – Birth of the Marvellous

Like, this: https://masterbootrecord.bandcamp.com/track/dblspace-exe DISPLAY.SYS is straight up thrash. Snowy posted:There would be so many metal albums I would immediately want on vinyl if I could buy them as instrumentals. Solos too? I am very curious about that. I feel so bad for the singer of The Ocean. They released an instrumental album because he was sick and released the same album with vocals when he was feeling better…and I like the instrumental one more. I doubt I'm the only one because the next album was also released in two versions. Pelagial is such a different album without the vocals. It's more depressing and crushing.

I was going to ask why there's no metal version of Der Heimliche Aufmarsch but just to make sure I checked and uh... It exists, but it isn't very good without the vocals… And youtube removed my bookmarked version of the original song for "hate speech" implying it's due to my country's laws which is…certainly creative. Not even close to factual, of course, and it's not exactly a secret that youtube is trash, but that's definitely pretty brazen.

I love that The Night Flight Orchestra exists. It's like reverse hippie death metal and I always imagine people in corpse paint gaily dancing along to the music. My standout album this year is still Alkymist's Sanctuary. The Dead and Draugr especially. Master Boot Record feels like YOSPOS metal, so that's nice as well. Bohren & Der Club of Gore isn't metal in the exact same way Night Flight Orchestra is not, but they released a pretty good album.

When filming LOTR, he got into it with Peter Jackson over Sauramon's death scene and actually said something like "Have you ever heard a man be stabbed, because I have". I know all that, but a) he's not releasing anything new for obvious reasons and b) wrong Christopher loving Lee. This one is a rapper. A bad one. I checked because maybe Christopher loving Lee came back as a Lich to start a death metal band but nope.
