It sounds like the metal version of Speak the Hungarian Rapper

Aw poo poo, dudes. I guess we don't "get it".

I get it. It's an unfortunately sober metal band playing a normal song while a drunk guy mumbles whatever crap comes to his head over top. It's not hard to "get".

Well, Hetfield looks like he's having fun, at least.

That and they basically mixed Lou Reed's guitar tracks out of it. Can't hear him at all. (If only they had done that with the vocals :( )

They made it branch into Heavy Rock specifically so that Nickelback could be a part of it. :(

It's cute that you think an awards show isn't bullshit.

Any interesting shows coming to Vancouver, BC in the next few weeks or so?

I want to take a mini-vacation up there, and if I can catch a show, all the better. I don't care how small the place is - in fact, the smaller the better. I'd like to catch a show that's some underground band with a zillion local openers I've never heard of in some random bar, rather than the huge megaproduction that Iron Maiden is going to be in a few months. Not that really picky when it comes to genre, but I like Black and Folk metal way more than, say Thrash or Power metal.

Saturday nights preferred, but I could do Friday nights as well. If Vancouver, BC has a local metal forum/board that I can check out, that might be the best. Thanks!

Awesome. I think I've been there before, the site looks familiar!

And I found an event that looks fun: http://www.facebook.com/events/318119901565388/

ARCHSPIRE presents: bonerjams 2012 with guests; AUROCH, GALDRA. PRECIOUS DUDES.

Bonerjams! 2012!

Haha yeah, Auroch and Archspire are always good. The show the night before that with Mendozza/Weirding/Psilocybin is going to be awesome too.

"as usual we managed to ram through them." Made me laugh pretty hard, subtle computer joke?

Also, Bolt Thrower.

Yeah, it's gone and they don't ship worldwide, there's one on Discogs though http://www.discogs.com/buy/Vinyl/Ahab-The-Divinity-Of-Oceans/54334097?ev=bp_titl

Looks like Augury are back to their original line up.

This is awesome news, Forest is a mad man on bass.

I couldn't imagine doing a few festivals in two weeks. Wacken destroyed me this year, though the weather (and mud...oh God the mud) made it a bigger physical toll than it would be if it was nice out. Then there's the after parties and yeah...one festival is enough for me (coming from Canada's west coast).

People looking for bands akin to Death, MY FRIEND'S BAND have tons of Death influence. Pretty good stuff.

I would go based on plane ticket price and free accommodation alone. (Edit: and to see Behexen)

Wacken was insanely fun but it (and the 2 weeks backpacking around) cost a lot.

I'm going to be pissed if Atlas Moth don't make it to Vancouver, they're the biggest reason I'm going to that show. Gojira are rad and all, and I've seen Dev a billion times over the years but drat am I stoked for some Atlas Moth.

Ugh I know (that 2nd post is me). It will still be a kick rear end show, but I was looking forward to smoking those dudes out.

I was wearing a Portal shirt the other day and some guy looked at it and called me a satanist rear end in a top hat.

Really it just made me like Portal more.

One of the best shows I ever saw was Augury opening for Quo Vadis back in 2007ish. Forest pulled double duty on bass that night and it was insanely good.

Also, listen to Quo Vadis.
