It's not merely embarrassing because it hasn't yet been patched but because a lot of people are buying it in spite of the fact that it's fundamentally broken and all the reviews say so. The Cyrax costume glitch is chop liver compared to that stuff.

Zyklon B Zombie: Feb 13, 2005; Circling Overland

Well, went to Season's Beating, beat 2 bad players, was feeling pretty good, then got demolished by CD Jr. and then got knocked out by a 10-year-old kid. Pretty cool for my first big fighting game tourney. There was a huge MK community turn-out.

I think I know what ten year old you mean. Well I only saw one. Anyways he was pretty good, no shame in losing to that dood.

As for me I went 3-2, lost to Maxter and THTB. I'm kinda salty because Maxter didn't even play his main against me, he played his Sektor. I was beating his Cyrax in the casuals but I don't know the Sektor matchup.

Did I hear Brady say that Scarlet and Freddy aren't banned characters for Season's Beatings while Rain and Kenshi still are? What's the reason behind that?

Ed said they were taking a break from MK to do a new IP (Or an old Midway one WB bought) after MK reboot was done, so it's probably a new game from them being revealed at the VideoGame Awards.

Man I've been trying some Sektor because he seemed fun, but I think he's officially "not my style." I've never been good at major hit-confirm stuff and his whole teleport game hinges on that. Even the basic timing for canceling into the teleport really throws me. When I jumped back to my usual Kano/Sindel/Smoke they just seemed to fit like a glove. Oh well guess I'll try expanding my horizons with someone else!

Sektor's 12b1 string seems pretty easy to hit confirm, you can see that they got launched and then f44 into teleport and just go crazy. I'm not sure he's really about hit confirming into huge combos anyways, though. He seems to be a lot more about filling the screen with missiles and fire.

So since Amazon has it at a reasonable $30 and I have no idea where else to ask this but:

1) I'm guessing online still has some people playing? I'll probably be playing the single or vs mode mostly but every now and then it wouldn't hurt to join for a few online matches.

And 2) Has there been a patch that fixes most of the issues with the MK Arcade Collection or should I still wait a bit for that.

I have no problem finding random ranked matches on PS3, and there is always at least one lobby room open full of people. The only problem is a lot of people that are still playing are pretty good at playing.

MKAK patch should be within the next couple weeks.

^^There are still regular smaller ones, if you follow the devs on twitter (hecterrific/pakostevens) or scene guys like REO, Tom Brady, PL, etc you'll see links for most of 'em.

I still haven't bought Freddy but what's so bad about Rain? I'm pretty sure he's exactly how they intended him to be, for better or worse.

Anyway, there hasn't been a patch for a while because people complained that they were patching things too quickly/regularly so they decided to hold back for a while. Blame GunrunSaibot69 from TYM or whoever (and also Other Ocean for MKAK).
