Yeah, DMC4 wasn't a bad game by any means. Not as good as 3, perhaps, but probably better than the first two.

So I just bought a new copy of Portal 2 from Target and I tried using my PC code on steam but it's telling me that code has already been used to activate on another account, do I need to bother the store or Steam? I've already placed a ticket with Steam and I don't think Target would give a poo poo

Show them your receipt and they'll give you a new copy.

So I played the multiplayer in the retail version of Resistance 3 and can confirm that it still has a very poor framerate and other issues that plagued the beta for the game. I haven't touched the singleplayer yet but the abysmal performance of the multiplayer is a real shame because honestly? The multiplayer gameplay itself is actually really fun. They've basically taken the Modern Warfare approach of sticking in as much overpowered broken poo poo as possible which results in absolute chaos and anarchy and well, it's fun Really, gunfights in Resistance 3's multiplayer are absolutely batshit insane and it's awesome. I just wish the framerate was stable

So I started playing El Shaddai today, and it is the weirdest loving game. So I'm Enoch, a warrior of God (with a day job as a scribe) and I have to beat the gently caress out of 7 fallen angels to seal their souls to bring them back to heaven. Descending to earth takes place on a giant hand that falls down and crashes into the Earth. Coming with me to help out is Lucifer, who is snazzily dressed and chats with God on a cell phone.

So WKC2 is now out in the US, meaning I might finally get some decent drop guides. El Shaddai is now out in Europe so I can go grab it from PSN, and Dead Island has just been downloading on Steam. I'm not sure which quirky-rear end game to try first.

I read a Japanese write-up on Lollipop Chainsaw and one of the things someone on the publish side said made me uh...quote:「怖くない。OLさんでも遊べるゾンビゲーム。キュートでちょっとだけバイオレンスで、爽快感のあるアクションゲームに仕上げたい」 I'm not sure Kadokawa and Grasshopper Manufacture are seeing perfectly eye to eye on this.

It seemed like a given that it was going to get a localization, but it's nice to get a confirmation and to find out they've been working on it for a while now. Also promising, there was some "If" talk about Yakuza: Of The End coming to the west, with hypothetical talk about reworking the controls for western audiences. So it seems they've been thinking about its localization, even if they still haven't confirmed anything yet.

I was just reading that the Resident Evil 4 HD update wouldn't have Move support. Is that true? If so, it's a dealbreaker. The Wii version is so much better than the Gamecube or PS2 versions, and that one can be emulated and played at HD resolutions with antialiasing. Not much reason to get the PS3 version unless they can top that.

Played a couple of hours of the God of War Origins collection this afternoon. Being my fourth God of War game, it feels exactly like all the other ones. Square, square, triangle and all that. Still, Kratos isn't the supreme whiny douche that he became in GoW3, so I'm having fun with it. The graphics aren't awesome, but they're perfectly playable.

You get NOTHING by renting it. No anything related to Online. Not even a trial. Awesome Campaign, but they can go gently caress themselves.

They did one hell of a job on the scene with his daughter near the end by making you pull away from her yourself. I know a lot of people hate Kratos because of his "I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!" attitude, but if you actually look at how badly this guy has been screwed over in Chains of Olympus, GoW1, and Ghost of Sparta, I think his anger is pretty justified by the time you get to 2 and 3.
