Shindragon posted:I think one of the reasons why RE5 gets flack is because of the co-op.It felt a bit forced. The levels were a bit so/so really. Not as crazy as RE4. Also Sheva is probably the most boring character in the RE universe ever. While it is possible to play without co-op, it would've been better if they never made Sheva. Nothing against her, she wasn't really needed. What are you talking about? Wesker was awesome! Just the right level of crazy madman insanity for the B+ movie of a game that RE5 was. I'd pay good money for Rampart on the PSN. Especially with some online play.

Not anymore! That game was pulled from the store over a year ago. Looks like all of the Midway classics were pulled as well. No more Rampage and MKII.

I really wish Sony actually warned people about games being pulled. I'm still angry over Outrun Online Arcade being pulled.

Honestly the Midway ports were really bad, it's not a big loss that they pulled them. I bought them back in the day because I had nothing to play on my PS3.

My PSN download list has MK2 available to me, and also Silent Hill 1, which was only available in PAL land for like 2 days. I wonder if I could sell it on eBay for a wad.

axleblaze posted:I never really had any trouble with the controls in SotC at all. The horse controls like a horse, not vehicle. He doesn't like to do things that will hurt it. You can't just force the horse to do things. He is your partner in the game, not a tool. I can see why people would have trouble with this but once you except it, it makes alot of sense. Shadow of the Colossus: Agro is smarter than most gamers. It can be a little difficult dealing with Agro at first, simply because you don't expect a game to be as thoughtful as it is. And it really is deliberate, because once it clicks, you loving love riding that horse and doing tricks with him and riding around that big empty world with your horse buddy. You basically build a relationship between Wander and Agro (and yourself) without there being any kind of game mechanic behind it. And if that's not happening, then you shouldn't be playing video games. None of them.

I should say two. Because, Wesker was totally hamming up that line. And yeah, Chris.. PUNCHING.A.BOULDER. What I also meant by Wesker being a disappointment is his final form. The guy who dodges bullets like nothing, sacrifices speed to become a slow hard hitting bastard. It just completely killed it for me. I hope he comes back. I don't care what Capcom says. He's dead? BULLSHIT. Like that hasn't stopped you reviving a drat villian. hell does Sigma keep the record for being revived the most?

Albert Wesker's dead, but RE5 and Lost in Nightmares introduced the "Wesker Children" concept. RE6 is probably just going to have "Jimmy Wesker" or something, Albert's long lost 6th clone from Umbrella who looks and sounds exactly like D.C Douglas.

blackguy32 posted:Yeah but like Wesker, they finally killed Sigma off for good. Oh I know that. I was mostly likely poking fun at Capcom's he's dead thing. And Sigma was a prime example. And yes I was glad Sigma finally died in x8. While technically not cannon, it still provided closure at least for that bastard. Also, guess I didn't pay attention to the Wesker childern project. Looking forward to seeing the clone. Also I want to elaborate on Sheva. By far I thought it was great that Capcom provided a female that wasn't sexed up like hell (well excluding the extra costumes) but they really didn't' do anything interesting with her. There was no conflict, she felt like more of a yes man really. I guess it was just a let down compared to Leon's attitude/antics in RE4. The game was pretty much aware of how loving silly it was. I mean a huge rear end Statue chasing the gently caress out of you, doesn't get more silly then that. RE5 trying to be serious was a bit.. eh.. The moments Wesker has his screen time was great. I enjoy Wesker's character because he's straight up a comic book villain. I hope RE6 is better. and no more co-op. I hate to say but co-op removed the tension from the game. I'll admit I hated fighting against the chainsaw zombies in RE4. In RE5? Not as much when you actually have a partner who can chip them with shots from far away. It sounds dumb what I said, but that's what I liked about RE4 alot. It felt really tense.

I think I hated RE5 because while it was just as cheesy as RE4, it tried to play it straight rather than going full-on "Your right hand comes off?" RE4 gave no fucks at all. dudes pushing boulders on you, a fuckin huge castle, a giant move-able Salazar statue, the entire MIIIIIIKE sequence and every single interaction between meester kennedy and a midget dressed like Napoleon gently caress Wesker, bring back Salazar e: quote:Sony is continuing to take the initiative to bolster its PlayStation Network following the disastrous hack earlier this year. Not only did Sony add another $20 million this summer to a Pub Fund it started a couple years ago, but today the company announced a new "Only On PlayStation Network" program to stress its flow of exclusive gaming content. God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere and Ring of Red? That's a loving amazing lineup there. God Hand is great, but GrimGrimoire and Odin Sphere are seriously underrated too. Maximo was a pretty good update of Ghosts & Goblins, and Ring of Red was one of the best near-launch games for the system, and a really inventive take on the SRPG.

I wonder how they choose these PS2 games, and if there'd ever be a chance of them putting up games that were only released in one region but not in another, meaning they came out in America, but not Europe and vice versa. What I'm saying is I want to play Gregory Horror Show on my PS3.

They'll probably be like the Neo Geo re-releases on PSN: support for HD resolutions and that's about it. Source link to that story is here.
