Can anyone suggest an alternative to Battlefield 3? I was just about to buy a used copy then I found out that there is an "Online" pass which would have to be purchased as well which is absolute crap.

What about Black-Ops or Modern Warfare? I like online-play counter strike style in general, I don't care too much about the campaign mode.

drat, this sucks to hear. I just got my PS3 off SA-Mart a couple weeks ago.. I thought it was just EA being stupid as usual.

Thanks everyone else for the replies, I will pickup modern warfare 3 then. I wish they would just sell online passes without requiring the game then.
