Amazing episode. Charlie was so happy during what was basically his dream date and that was great to see - but being Always Sunny you just knew somehow it was going to end badly. Poor guy. At least he took it well.

So far this season has been far better to me already than the last one was with the exception of The Gang Buys A Boat. Loved that episode.

Bum sex, angel dust, murder and rum infused ham.

Man.

I love that they're back to what seems like sitting at a table writing these episodes and saying "Alright - sun tan lotion drinks, rum ham, a drugged up girl on a date with Charlie, people getting poked in the rear end with dirty needles, robbery while on drugs and two bums loving under a bridge - but how can we really make this episode crazy?"

Those are the best episodes.

I've already enjoyed this season more than the entire last season and there are still a ton of episodes left to go. I think they got a second wind.

The Gang Buys A Boat will forever be one of my favorite episodes, though.

This is one of those episodes that I enjoyed while I watched it but I doubt I'll ever have the urge to watch it a second time. Not bad, but not worth revisiting. It was entertaining to see more of Frank's backstory and batshit crazy past.

After only somewhat enjoying the last couple episodes (Frank's little beauties and Frank's Brother weren't for me) this one really brought me back in. Not only was it funny as hell but it reminded me of an episode of My Name Is Earl where they got locked inside a department store and thought the world was ending from Y2K. Watching Dennis slowly descend into madness with his expectations of how women should react to his advances is dark but hilarious.

One of the best episodes in the series and they never even left the bar. No gimmicks, no trips to somewhere or awkward celebrity guest stars - just the gang together being themselves playing a batshit crazy game they invented.

So funny.

I want to see an episode that reveals just how the gang came into possession of Paddy's. says it involves forging a dead man's signature on a contract or something similar.

After The Gang Cracks The Liberty Bell I just assumed the bar had been in someone's family and passed down for centuries or something even though the story was pretty much made up on the spot.

Edit: Your explanation would make for a great flashback episode though.

Really enjoyed this one. I love when Frank misunderstands something and just runs with it saying/doing his own version of it trying desperately to fit in with the gang or pretend he knows what they are talking about. DeVito joining the cast in season 2 is one of best cast additions in history. The gang was great in season 1 but he was definitely the last piece of the puzzle.

To me "Frank's Pretty Woman", "The Gang Goes To The Jersey Shore", "Storm Of The Century" and "Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games" were all amazing. "The Anti-Social Network" was good but the back to back trio of "Frank Reynolds’ Little Beauties", "Sweet Dee Gets Audited" and "Frank's Brother" are episodes that I didn't mind watching once and thought they had some funny parts but I'll probably never revisit them.

Overall I've already enjoyed this season more than the last.

The interactions between Dee and Charlie when they're in a situation with just the two of them are always amazing.

Charlie explains something he and Frank will do that at first sounds completely crazy but Dee always seems to find later that he knew what he was talking about in some bizarre turn of events. The conversation about stripping down in the sewer was one of the best exchanges yet. Other favorites are convincing Dee to huff glue and stuff her face with cat food and the conversation they have in one episode about finding your breath.

I figured it'd be the one about Dee dating a retarded person.

Always Sunny seasons for me usually have a handful of great episodes, a few that are just alright (that I'll watch again only if I've watched the really good ones too often) and one or two that leave me scratching my head wondering why they were even filmed - those are the ones I never revisit.

I'm alright with that though because the ones that are great are always worth sticking around for.

"Who Pooped The Bed" is funny to me mainly because of how seriously they play the whole situation. Their entire world gets derailed by something so trivial and they even bring in outside observers to chime in on such a silly and embarrassing event. The way it's played off as a CSI style murder mystery or something is great.

Loved the episode (it felt like it was half the length of other episodes -- it really moved fast), but I'm still having trouble with the way Charlie treated Ruby at the end. Has he ever been cruel to anyone like that before?

I went from happy that Charlie actually found someone that liked him throughout the episode to feeling bad for her with how brutal he was to her. I really didn't see it coming with his evil villain monologue and whatnot but I probably should have. Charlie is cold as ice. With this show you know that if something good happens to one of the characters there is no way in hell it's going to stay that way by the end credits.

Great episode.

The episodes with Artemis seem to end up always being some of my favorites. Sorta the same way with Rafi episodes of The League.

Great stuff this season.

Sorry, but this episode was a huge let-down. One of the worst Sunny episodes I've seen.

You also didn't like the last two episodes of The League so I think your humor might be broken.

This episode had me cracking up from start to finish - Mac's blank stare toward Charlie was amazing. Thread title was by far the best quote of the episode but there were so many.

Mr. Carlisle

Couldn't disagree more but if it's not your thing it's not your thing. I've been surprised that The League and Sunny have both remained pretty true to their roots outside the characters getting a bit more wacky - which happens with just about any comedy over time.

To me Always Sunny has shot back up in quality this season and The League has stayed consistent through it's entire run save for one or two episodes that were just good but not great.

Then again there are those that think Wilfred season 2 was amazing and it completely lost me as far as being interested because it felt like it changed so much so I can relate.

Did Charlie say "Distinguished collies" at the beginning because his misinterpretation of sayings is one of my favorite things on the show and I couldn't really tell. If not my brain changed it automatically to a Charlie saying.

Great episode, great season.

To people that have never seen Always Sunny I usually recommend three episodes: Kitten Mittens, The Gang Buys A Boat and Gun Fever. For some reason those three always get 'I have to see more of this show' reactions from people. Mainly because of Charlie.

Charlie unites us all.

Chardee McDennis is one I'm going to have to suggest next time. It's basically the relationship of the gang boiled down to a bottle episode and it's amazing.

I loved this show until season 6 then stopped watching season 6 and season 7 (I saw a few episodes but it didn't have the same feeling of the original seasons). I've seen a few from season 8 and it hasn't really been as good as I remember the show being - as in I can watch it for a few minutes and not feel like I need to continue. Is there any particularly amazing episodes in season 8 I need to watch all the way through?

"The Gang Gets Analyzed" and "The Gang Dines Out" are two that stand out in my mind as definitely worth checking out and being the quality of earlier seasons. The rest of the season to me was alright but not nearly as re-watchable to me as those two are.

They mentioned already seeing a few episodes from season 8 and not being that impressed so I don't think watching from beginning to end is going to help change that, really.

The point bears reiterating. Not to be a dick, but if you don't like Season 8 maybe IASIP isn't your kind of show? It's one of the pinnacle seasons.

They loved seasons 1-5 though and the best season stuff is all opinion based.
