Cage posted:Forgot to remind everyone that comedy central was playing sunny all day yesterday until 11, sorry dudes. Watched from about 7:30 on while cleaning. I feel like they cut some things out maybe? Like, there were some abrupt scene transitions that just felt like maybe there was 3 seconds missing just then. But, there's something to be said for a show that, in reruns, can make me skip a new How I Met Your Mother (I have a DVR). Also, the newest season is even funnier the second time around. And they did not edit out anything with the hobos under the boardwalk

DrBouvenstein posted:Board game info Ack, I got mine and played it last Friday and forgot to write up a review. Short answer is that it's a lot of fun, and you don't have to have seen the show to be able to play (but why would you play with someone like that?) There's a decent amount of strategy involved - you are completing several steps in order to get shares, so you can think ahead a few moves. For instance, if your next step is to cash out empties, you can make a move so that you are 2, 3 and 4 spots away from that spot (liquor store?). This way you have a 50% chance of getting there the on the next move. The Episodes cards are basically trivia cards. You land on that spot, someone pulls a card and describes an episode. If you name the title correctly, you get $10,000 (which is worth 1 share). Charlie Work is basically lose one share unless you're drunk enough to clean out someone's belly button or rub their foot (or get lucky and get one of the few non-gross ones). It's Always Sunny cards are basically Chance/Community Chest. There's enough strategy involved and enough silliness involved to make it fun to anyone. Our only thought is that there should be more shares, though. In a 3-player game, the shares ran out in like 30 minutes, and no one was close to Banging the Waitress either game. This is easy to fix by adding regular playing cards as more shares.

DrBouvenstein posted:It's to gently caress with your DVRs so you're more inclined to watch it live, and therefore not skip the ads. I don't think this is it. The DVR schedule shows the correct (weird) start times, therefore it will record at that time. Besides, I don't think many people DVR Sunny reruns. edit: not that I'm defending the weird scheduling. It annoys me, too, I'm just not sure it's meant to thwart DVRs. I'm sure it's for some other greedy business reason.
