Installing original WoW now, pretty excited to get into this. Can't seem to install the game. Once I install the original CD's and get them patched up (to the patches I found on the ReBirth website) I log in and it tries to download an update. This update won't install as it tried to go to the C: drive and I installed to the E: drive. Then it just crashes and restarts and tried to get the update again. What am I doing wrong? Alright figured out the problem. I had edited the realmlist.wtf BEFORE I finished installing the 2nd patch. Apparently the 2nd patch reverts the realmlist.wtf to the default settings, thereby undoing my changes. Created a tauren druid named Ultimeat. Huzzah!

Ug. My recommendation is everyone just stay away from stonetalon mountains. This is twice this weekend where dying in stonetalon has rendered me unable to retrieve body and in this endless loop of trying to log in, taking forever, getting in for a few minutes, then the game being unresponsive. I keep getting tells to run SFK but I'm literally stuck in stonetalon and I don't know if I can ever get out.

Can't hearthstone? Even if you're bound at the inn there you can still try to make it to the flight path out. Myself, I'm bad at pvp. Any tips for a frost mage to deal with a druid? Level 30 now so I have most spells, just got ice block, but it seems like there's no way to keep distance since they can shift out of any snares/sheep and just claw me to death.

My GIRLFRIEND and I will probably be coming to play here. Horde, because she hates the Alliance. I'd prefer the Alliance in this case if only because of potential PvP population issues. How badly does the Horde outnumber the Alliance on this server? Can you consistently get battlegrounds to pop as Horde? What's the average population range for each side at primetime? Yeah, I know, I'm asking a lot of questions that might have been answered previously but this sort of stuff shifts around, so I'd love to have current info. My GF is going to play a resto druid but I'm torn between warlock and warrior. Warrior is by far the class I've played the most, with over 250 days /played on my main when I quit 3 years ago. However I am not 4 tnak. I am 4 fite. PvP would be my primary reason for playing. Does <GUILD> have an overabundance of MS warriors? If an MS warrior wouldn't be welcome on raids I guess I could go warlock, as I had a buttload of fun on my warlock alt.

Battlegrounds aren't really a thing just yet due to low population. We definitely need warriors from early to mid levels since it's almost impossible to find a tank for instances.

It's been said repeatedly but right now people are mostly focused on leveling, and since the Honor system is currently disabled and PVP vendors aren't available it's pretty sparse right now. Most PVP action is a small group of people teaming up to corpse camp the first person they come across while the victim rages on the global chat channel. I do hope that Freaky enables the system again soon, until that happens I don't see anyone wanting to put much time into battlegrounds when they could be gearing up / earning gold.

You can get Honor but no rank and no PvP item vendors are in game as far as I know.

I apologize for being bad and not reading all the previous posts. Well, regardless, since it sounds like warriors are desired I'll make a warrior and you guys will just have to cope with an MS warrior who gets curmudgeonly about spending DKP on tank gear and grumbles when he can't DPS on raids. I hope the PvP thing gets fixed soon but until then I can make due with occasional griefing. I'm still curious about how bad the population imbalance is however.

I'm 90% into the download, I expect to level quickly. What do you need from me, class wise to be worthwhile to the guild? I've played every class except mage to 60 and most to 70-80. I would like to dick around as a rogue on my off-time but I'm interested in killing pve bitches with you fellas as well. I am aware the disclaimer says "play whatever you like," but I'm also aware that this poo poo doesn't fly when there's 1 tank per server or 1 healer per server, and I'm willing to fill either role. Upon reading the post above me, I'll roll a warrior. It'll be my sixth one (2 60s, 1 70, 2 80s)

Not sure where you guys read that we were low on warriors, the only thing we're noticeably lacking is druids. Though you can just join the guild and eyeball the entire roster if you want.

You're already 60 and don't notice that every lowbie instance and mid instance party is usually broken up due to a lack of tanks. I've already been on the end of several parties waiting for a tank and most of the instances that do get done are via a high level character rushing us all through. 90% of the fun in classic is the trip to 60 so missing out on all the instances is a big loss for anyone trying to relive the fun.

If I'm mistaken feel free to correct me. I don't really want to level a warrior up to 60 only to find out that there's no room for a DPS warrior in raids.

Ah, yes, that is more than adequate. We also need a forum, and some kind of calender system to figure who can raid at what times. I'm curious to see if there's a better date than Saturday afternoons to raid, if there's enough presence at a weekday to make it the second raid date. e: Also, it shames me to ask what is your in-game character's name? I only know a few handful of people's goon accounts.
