Ventrilo. Regarding hitting 60, there's a great crossbow in Strat. Other than that, pick up groups where you can for Strat/Scholo/DM/UBRS and make sure to get a single LBRS group for your Ony attunement. Honestly as long as there's room I don't think anyone's too concerned about a fresh 60 in MC, but keep your eyes open for dungeon runs for more level-appropriate blues. There's also the black dragonscale set, which is relatively easy to farm in Burning Steppes if you're a skinner or have one available.

I remember doing strat/scholo/etc with my guild when I was only level 58, so I kinda got a head start with gear before I hit 60, which I believe I leveled entirely in instances after that point. Could a player enter these instances earlier than 58 and still be useful? edit: I had a guy ask me about joining GUILD last night and I basically said something along the lines of "Well, you'll have to talk to an officer but I'm pretty sure you'll also have to join the SA forums, which costs :tenbux:. I don't believe we have level requirements or are restricting certain classes atm" If this isn't 100% accurate please fill me in. So I decided a few days ago and do one of the things I missed out on with WoW... I started playing just at the tail end of Vanilla and was probably about 56 by the time BC came out... which meant I went through all the pain of leveling without the fun of hitting max level. Anyways, I just installed it and have a rogue on the Rebirth server with Horde named Rol... I hope to see you guys out there, and expect to stick with it until about mid 30s... but I am hopeful to stick it out and make it to 60.

We have 2 Ragnaros kills under our belt, and we're pushing for a full clear tonight. If we can do a 1 day MC, I think we have a legit case to request BWL to be opened up. Course we still gotta kill Onyxia, but some changes went in that should fix her tailswipesofdeath, and we should be pushing 30+ keyed members, so I expect she will be dead soon too. MC invites go out at 7 server, raid starts at 7:30. We're gonna be moving at a pretty brisk clip so we can really push for a 1 night killathon. Tanks, Mages and Heals are essential for this. Log on, kill thangs, get loot.

Hey, quick notice that onyxia's tail swipe is a 60 degree rear cone with a pretty good range - previously it was a 120 degree cone. I really think this is right, but I'd still play it safe while you're getting the feel for things and steer clear of her back arc in general. EDIT: Frontal cones had similar issues (120 degrees instead of 90) so you might notice that it's a bit easier to avoid magmadar's cone, but the core hound packs share their cone angle with ouro so their cone size just doubled to 180 degrees. DOUBLE EDIT: Oh, also don't forget that Rag's melee range and hitbox size have been adjusted so your positioning in melee is gonna be a little different from last week. Additionally, he's no longer tauntable and he'll only drop threat on dudes actually tossed by Wrath, so melee will be slaughtered with a quickness if tanks gently caress up. Lastly, his aggro range and melee range are now the same. 30.5 Days fucked around with this message at Mar 27, 2012 around 23:20 |

My computer has decided that its going to poo poo out on me once again so I might be a bit late tonight depending on how long it decides to take. For some reason my computer has about a 1/10 chance of starting correctly. Other times it either locks up during startup or BSoDs a few minutes after I reach my desktop.

Tanners I'd be happy to examine your crash dump files, if you're interested, which should give a good indication of what's going on. Send me the most recent files (two or three would be good) from C:\windows\minidump\ and I can probably figure out which driver is causing the problem and how to fix it. Depending on your windows configuration it may not be saving crash dumps, but by default it should. Smolar (at) gmail .com

We couldn't down Rag tonight, which sucks. But, CV, can you check up on something. Tanners wasn't resisting his melee knockback at all with 315 FR, but Wowwiki says its supposed to be resistable. Do the new binary resists stop that from happening? Since it has a damage component to it as well?

You've got 3 wings to clear, all the loot has very good stat allocation. When I had my rogue, there was so much stuff in there to get. Trinket, felhide cap (although shadowcraft, eye of rend were slightly better because felhide had fire resist as a stat allocation), Satyr bow. While it might not have best in slot items, you can get fully geared in that instance. I'm running this game on OSX, playing as a Nightelf Hunter, and I'm getting some really annoying bugs specifically related to my pet... - Pet gets stuck on pieces of the environment all the time, have to reset the game to fix it - Pet will not respond to being called; sends up the message of "You're already in control of a pet blah blah blah" - Pet will not respond to being dismissed Are these known issues, or is it unique to me? I feel like this is going to really make the game unplayable once I start doing instanced quests and can't logout/login quickly to reset my pet.

fast edit:^^^^^ I've had that second issue sometimes when taking a zeppelin, but only then. It's a pain but it happens very infrequently for me. (also OSX) CV, I'm not sure if you've already heard about from the GMs about the state of the hunter epic quest, but since most of us have the leaf now, there's probably going to be more people trying soon. The demons have to be manually summoned and one of them has to be manually silenced when hit by its weakness shot, according to Narrock who I think is the only one who's tried them so far. Also apparently the questgivers have to be manually spawned too, in Felwood. I figure this might be low on your priorities since it's just for a few people, but it's pretty intimidating to have to rely on a GM to start it and watch you do it. Could you take a quick look at them?

Oh, I ended up fixing the issue with not being able to pick 1680x1050!!! Turns out, when I did the desktop properties, it was showing my widescreen monitor as the #1 monitor with my 4:3 monitor as #2. But when I went into the Catalyst control center, it was still showing the 4:3 monitor as #1 and why I could only pick 1280x1024 as my highest resolution. But now, for some reason, when I pick 1680x1050 all the proportions are jacked (buttons on bottom aren't square) so there's still something jacked. Hopefully all this gets fixed with my new monitors that will arrive today as they will all be the same resolution/model.

Tanners, I'm not sure when you'll get this message, but I found a windows hotfix which describes your exact problem - the hotfix is only rated for Windows server 2k8 RC2, but at the end it describes adding a registry key to disable processor sleep states (the apparent cause of the stop error) - the registry key should work on windows 7. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975530 You can disable the Advance Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) C-states by using a BIOS firmware option on the computer. If the firmware does not include this option, a software workaround is available. You can disable the ACPI C2-state and C3-state by setting a registry key. To do this, follow these steps: At a command prompt, run the following command: reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Processor /v Capabilities /t REG_DWORD /d 0x0007e066 Restart the computer. Note The computer idle power consumption will increase significantly if the deeper ACPI C-states (processor idle sleep states) are disabled. Windows Server 2008 R2 uses these deeper C-states on the Xeon 5500 series as a key energy-saving feature. To continue to benefit from these energy-saving states, remove the registry key that you set in step 1 after you install the hotfix that this article describes. To do remove the registry key, follow these steps: At a command prompt, run the following command: reg delete HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Processor /v Capabilities /f Restart the computer. Edit because {code} breaks formatting on my browser
