Not a food related question, but a restaurant related question - a local place I like does a ton of rotating daily specials, and would like to have a way for a non tech-savvy person to manage a "specials" web page. Any recommendations for such a thing? Another restaurant I do tech support for has a custom wordpress setup to publish their menus. I searched around a bit and found the "Open Menu" service, which might work too?

Oh definitely, I get paid in trade (by choice). I'm just exploring the options out there for them. Open menu looks pretty good, but their requirement to approve everything is going to be a pain in the butt for this place, since they quote 24-48 hours for approval... Which doesn't really help when you've got daily specials you want to post. Oh, ok, it goes down to two hours once the initial menu gets approved, and as little as half an hour once you've submitted enough, so that's not too bad. I can either integrate it into their 2002 looking website as is (since the API for open menu allows that), or they can find a designer to make something pretty that can integrate the menus.

I was gonna rant about how my favorite bakery loving slathers all their cakes in an inch thick layer of frosting but then I realized that I'm probably the only one that doesn't like that
