I really wish they didn't preempt The Daily Show and The Colbert Report for that damnable roast. On the plus side though, I can watch Conan and not have to worry about missing anything!

Honestly, I occasionally watch bits and pieces if other shows are in rerun. I don't like his interviews because - excluding the Bachmann thing - he's a softballer, and occasionally a letch. But some of the bits are amusing every now and then.

Before that infamous trainwreck last year with NBC and Conan, yeah. If Letterman didn't have any good guests and I wanted to watch TV, I usually went with Jay (a light-but-amusing way to fall asleep) and recorded Conan.

After all that drama - which literally started a few days after I saw Jay live, for the first time, and he really put on a better show for us fans than Bill Cosby had a few months prior - it was too disappointing that (among other things) he didn't put up more of a fuss on Conan's behalf. I just didn't want to tune in anymore.

And he still has the stigma...even though in hindsight (and post-reading of the excellent The War For Late Night) he really wasn't the bad guy in the situation. Not that he shouldn't have done things differently of course.

Now, it's Fallon or Ferguson, with Conan streaming (the former two don't have streaming shows in Canada)

Occasionally yes. Since the format change a year or two back. That is if I'm into the guest or musical guest. There's no comedy stuff, it's usually just a sit down interview in a random place and a live concert performance from the musical guest. It's not something you'd want to watch if you're not interested in the guests though as it's a pretty no-frills talk show.

I watch pretty much all the ones in the OP except Leno, Craig, and Kimmel. Though I only watch Letterman and Daly if they have guests on I'm interested in. I used to watch Kimmel and Craig too but I tired of them. I get the appeal of Craig but it's just not really my thing.

I think I only post in this topic when a girl I find cute is on a late night show, or someone particularly exciting is on Craig.

That said, Anna Kendrick, who is adorable and the best thing about the Twilight movies and someday I will marry her... er, OK, anyways, she was on Chelsea.

That's really all I had to say.

Um... Chelsea is funny.

BETTER THE DEVIL YOU KNOW

Hey guys, just a quick post to say I'm sure some of you have seen the review site we've got running on TVIV - 'Friday Night Death Slot' - but we're happy for people to run reviews of late night shows as well as the normal dramas/sitcoms. Doesn't even have to be booked up front, if you happen to catch a great episode (or terrible one!) then feel free to log in and allocate it to yourself.

If I wasn't busy scripting the site all last week, there definitely would be a piece gushing over how adorable Lauren Graham is when she's on Craig.

I watch it sometimes if she has good guests on for the panel thing, like Chris Hardwick or Jen Kirkman or the Sklar brothers or something. Her show completely depends on good guests because she's not that funny by herself.

I really don't care either way, it's just something I watch when I'm bored, unless someone I really like (Anna Kendrick) is on.

So, is anyone else impressed Letterman makes a huge point of inviting people of the Armed Services onto the show whenever possible (especially the Medal of Honor recipients)? I just noticed he's bringing Dakota Meyer later in the week. Sure it's great for ratings but it definitely is a great way to show as much respect as he possibly can to them.

Dakota is a badasses badass, not that SGT Petry isn't, but Dakota Meyers story is amazing. He is not a big talker but I am sure Dave will make it work.

And Conan and Andy's webcam session was amazing, especially when Conan did Jay.

I think there's been a drop-off in consistency since the move to TBS, it seems like he has an over-reliance on young hipster interns instead of seasoned writers as a result of the massive social media exposure.

I've been trying to understand what you mean and have failed. Are you saying that young hipster interns have an influence on what makes it to the show? This isn't true at all. Social media has had it's influence, but Conan's audience is young and into that poo poo. At least 10 of the writers moved over from Late Night, so they're pretty seasoned.
