SKA SUCKS

Does anyone know any podcasts that are like a couple of short stories? Either comedic or happy or sad or interesting or whatever. Just like, people telling stories? I love stuff like that.

RISK! is my favourite of these. The Moth is also a thing.

edit - Actually, not sure if you meant fictional short stories, or people telling true stories of things that happened to them. My two recommendations are the latter.

SHATNER SECRETS

Check out The Moth, sounds exactly like what you're looking for: http://feeds.themoth.org/themothpodcast

My own request: Are there any podcasts about porn? Not X-rated podcasts, but interviews, news about the sex industry, etc. I found "The Morning After" but that shut down last year. And googling for "porn podcast" doesn't return much useful.

I'm not sure about podcasts dedicated to porn, but there is a good episode of The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show in which he interviews a guy who writes/directs those porn parodies of movies and TV shows.

This American Life. Most episodes are 3 or 4 life stories connected by a given theme for the episode. And often there are fictional short stories read out.

God, I LOVE being a turtle!

Technically, DVDASA isn't about porn, but one of the co-hosts is a porn star, another is a former porn editor, and they've had a few porn stars as guests. I made a thread about it here.

My question: Aside from This American Life, what are some good podcasts that update on saturdays or sundays? I always find myself having nothing to listen to on the weekends.

Actually, Lucy, my trouble is football. I just don't understand it. Instead of feeling happy, I feel sort of let down.

Go Lions.

Uhh Yeah Dude has a random enough update schedule where you could probably get some on the weekends You should listen to Uhh Yeah Dude anyway, or pull their back catalog and listen to that on weekends.

EVERYBODY PANIC

gently caress. So I have noscript on Firefox and for the last few days, I've been able to save Spill.com podcasts on my computer by clicking on the download link and right clicking the noscript blocked page and selecting "save download link". I accidentally clicked the page and now the download goes straight to Quicktime which doesn't allow me to save podcasts on my computer. I've tried to mess around with program defaults and even disbled Quicktime, but it didn't work. Anybody have any advice?
