Just kidding! Imma eat your face now mmkay?

Odysseus journeyed the wastes taking poo poo from nobody and beating anyone who looked at him funny to death with his bare hands. Robots are made of metal. So after some minor corrective surgery and journeying to the far reaches of the Mojave and beyond, he decided to use someone else's hands instead.

To remember the fallen, he places a bottle cap on each of their eyes. Unless he ate their eyes... or he can't find the head. That happens more often than you might think.

I'm trying to make a melee dude but I just can't do it. I tried in Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, and now. I can't do it. The temptation to pick up a gun always overpowers me. I did use some console commands to make a guy level 40 and give him the energy swords and all the perks and poo poo and it was pretty fun. I just don't know what it is but that kind of thing seems like a gimmick. I may try lasers, especially now since the GRA added some really cool energy weapons.

I don't know, my playstyle has always been a guns guy. Snipers and shotguns are both hilariously awesome.

I don't care for most of the guns. They seem like incremental improvements at best that I have to carry around whole new stocks of ammunition for.

Plus there is just a visceral feeling I get running up to a guy firing on me with a mini-gun and uppercutting him clean into the sky... Parts of him at least.

I hit people in HH so hard that their weapons just floated in the air where they used to be standing. Good times.

If whatever you're fighting is getting that close to you, you're doing something wrong. Also, since finding .308 is kinda impossible at low levels, I haven't had a real chance to use This Machine. So what's the second best option I can grab that uses .357 (which you get a poo poo ton of in OWB) or even 5.56 ammo? I figure I shouldn't have much problems getting to 11-12 or whatever level snipers enter the merchant tables but having something beefy for those first levels would be awesome.

I'm using Lucky. I think a cowboy repeater uses 357 too.

You can just wait til he sleeps in the barracks and sneak attack crit him. That's how I got it. Nobody else woke up.

I've decided its for the best to recruit ED-E and then just ask him to wait someplace random so I get to keep his perk.

Edit: Yeah primm. You have to go back into the casino and be confronted by deserters. then sometime after that the casino opens. But they have like.. a small rear end limit then they kick you. Something like 6k caps?

Jesus Lonesome Road is a goldmine. The armor sells for shittons, and the commisary restocks with a decent amount of caps and identical inventory... Plus the long 15 respawns... one screen away from a place where I can sell everything. I guess they figured we would need the caps to buy GRA guns.

Just as a note, Signature weapon Nailguns chew through everything known to man. Only downside is that the thing goes through ammo hella fast. Gotta grind some bottomless on there! Maxed out penetrating and precise and I was sniping from across the map with a nail gun. Good times.

I heartily recommend everyone run strait from goodsprings to Lonesome road at level 1, loot everything you can, maybe buy some riot gear and don't leave the first building.

I just cleared the courier's mile with a shovel thanks to signature weapons. (God I love that mod) The shovel has a special vats attack called Grand Slam. I beat the living poo poo out of everything I can find with a shovel.

As a note to anyone using that mod, putting lethal on the laser detonator will not make it an effective weapon. Despite the fact that it now says it does 10 damage, it never actually contacts with a target.

The more I think about lonesome road the less sense it makes. Why is blowing up warheads scattered about a good thing? That seems bad. And a bus door is too difficult for anyone to navigate but me? Plus I'm not entirely sure why we needed an entirely new race of ghoul. And Ulysses was there when the bombs went off... but robots put him back together? what? Also the commissaries must be using BIG MT tech in order to restock money and items forever... or something.

It still bothers me that the general coat in this game while looking almost identical to the general coat in fallout 3 or even the colonel coat, is vastly inferior. I may have to load up the geck and fix that.

DR values seem to have generally been halved to determine DR values anyhow. So since the generals coat in 3 had DR 20 I think this one should have had DR 10 or so.

I accidentally have two ED-Es... I went to LR to sell things like I usually do, but I haven't finished it yet, only that first building I cleared at level 1 so I could get access to the commissary.

Anyway, I figured gently caress walking back to the door and used a mod I have installed that has a mark/recall feature and recalled back to the NV Bounties shack. Then I noticed that LR ED-E was still with me. Then I fast traveled to go pick up the original one... and now they are both on my team. :black101:

I wonder how bad LR will poo poo itself without him there if I continue it without putting him back.

I've been playing with two ED-E's for a few hours now. It's like a clusterfuck of lasers and lightning.

Apparently leaving LR in some manner other than the actual exit lets you keep that ED-E. Mark/recall mods, or even COC should do the trick. And then he will just follow you back into LR like nothing happened.
