Also, the extra sewers area isn't pre-order exclusive, just a code they include with new games to discourage used sales.

Is this game still going to be on three discs on the 360 like they said it was years ago? If so, I'll just wait for Borderlands 2.

I believe it locks out unauthorized HDDs (read: just buying a 2.5" SATA on NewEgg and stuffing it into the enclosure), but you can buy their hilariously overpriced authorized drives.

You can upgrade a PS3 drive willy nilly, but if you want a Xbox drive bigger then 250 gigs you're gonna pay upwards of 150 bucks for their proprietary drives.

Have they improved the shotgun at all? The videos I saw all made it look like it was firing beanbags, there was absolutely no visible response to giving someone a faceful of buckshot at close range, which is one of the things that somewhat soured me on the game.

Back in my day, we didn't need a hard drive in our consoles to play our games. Also, we played id games on our computer machines. And we liked it that way! Rage isn't going to be a "console port" is it?

Also, did anyone else notice on the TV Spot trailer how the player never shot anyone? He shoots the robots just fine, but misses the humans/mutants.

Underwhelming shotgun feedback has turned me off using them in most games, they just don't feel right, and as someone who owns a shotgun, I'm well aware of the mess even a 20 gauge can make.

I don't know why people still can't understand this but: pretty much all games are made for consoles these days, even when the developers claim to put more effort into the PC release it's mainly to placate the ire of the small but vocal PC supremacy whine brigade (see BF3)

Or maybe the 6 player combat rally mode is bigger than we think it is? I don't know how it works, but I would assume a lot of the multiplayer stuff would just share the assets from the single player discs. Seems a bit odd to me. But then again, this could just be the same thing as the old id games having a separate .exe launcher for Multiplayer. Wazzit fucked around with this message at Sep 28, 2011 around 23:37 |
