Problem is how useless parry is online if there is even a little bit of lag. I only really had a good time parrying in one co op match when it was just at undead burg and I had already beat the bell gargoyle. I dropped my sign just outside the first bonfire in undead burg. I then helped him to get the one part where there's 4 undead hollow soldiers, I then proceeded to parry every single one of them in a row.

I used the full Antiquated Set to boost damage, Dark Moon Seance Ring for an extra spell slot, Ring of Favor and Protection, and nothing but fireballs/greater fireballs. I believe my pyromancy was +14 at the time, just under the Queelana version. I didn't use Solaire because I found it was way easier to keep them together behind a pillar then separate with an NPC and suddenly getting blind sided by one off camera. If you run out of fireballs when Smough goes solo then you have basically lost, you won't have the stability or HP to take a lighting butt slam in your attempts to hit and run. If I were to change anything it would be that I would have gone in with a even more upgraded pyromancy hand because the biggest issue is doing enough damage before you run out of magic. But a work around could be farming up a Fire/Lighting Axe before you head in there.

So I thought I would be clever and get the Paladin armor set early in the game by joining the covenant that would let me warp to where it drops, taking out the black phantom who makes it spawn, grabbing it and getting out. Turns out this particular black phantom won't invade you if the golden gate is still up. Now I feel like an idiot because I have to climb out of the Tomb of Giants.

Yeah I don't get why people have so much trouble with Mega Ornstein. His one hit kill ability (and I think most of his melee attacks) won't hit you if you're right on top of him. His big AOE can be avoided by just sprinting away. Charge at him with a shield up, get right up under his legs and wail on him. When he gets ready to leap into the air sprint away and repeat. Know how loving annoying it is when some like tiny rear end dog is right on top of you and you're trying to hit it with a 15 foot polearm and your weapon is too long and you can't land any hits? Be that stupid loving dog.

The problem with the Tomb is getting to the first bonfire and Patches at all. I'd have less of a problem with the pitch black aspect of the area if it wasn't also riddled with lethal falls and ledges. Forcing us to use the Skull Lantern was an interesting design choice, though. At that point, most everyone relies on their shield for the basic enemies(or, at any rate, I did). Removing it made me feel pretty damned unsafe. That area with the gigantic trees, near the end of the Tomb has to be one of the most beautiful things I've seen in this game. It's not incredibly impressive on it's own, but when juxtaposed with the dark, morbid Tomb, it's absolutely stunning. Be that stupid loving dog. This works for pretty much all the large bosses in the game. By and large their close-range attacks are extremely easy to avoid, and their normal attacks will almost always miss when you're that close. It was really easy to beat big Ornstein and pretty much every other large boss by hugging the poo poo out of them.

God drat S+O are tough as poo poo at SL20. Wasted like 6 humanity trying to summon Solaire. Half the time he would aggro the giants leading to the doors and lose a huge chunk of hp. We got O down pretty easy (I got like 3 Leo Rings) but I kept dying on S. Didn't help a bunch of Darkmoons would invade as soon as I entered human form. I eventually calmed down, disconnected from the network and we killed them fools. Feels pretty awesome to warp back to Firelink so easily and at this level I can help newbies do gaping/capra/gargoyles/queel. So I buy Smough's armor from the guy in the aquaduct right?

Okay seriously someone tell me how the four kings on NG++ is meant to be even close to winnable. I must have tried over a dozen times and I never get close to the DPS it would take to kill them off before the next one appears. They have too much life and defense, they hit for retard amounts of damage, and don't even get me started on the magic explosion attack.

Is there a shortcut from The Depths to Firelink that's quicker than the one where you have to run all the way back up out of the Depths where you first came in? I saw mention on GameFaqs that there was a shortcut to Firelinknext to the merchant in the Depths, who's sitting next to the entrance to Blight Town. But I haven't confirmed it anywhere else.
