Gyoru posted:The IGN stream just had a severe framerate drop on the 360 version for a couple seconds while descending a ladder. Have they had any other issues so far? From what I've heard it's mostly fine so I'm hoping that was just a fluke.

Lead him away from it and repeat until he dies.

Finally managed to ring the first bell. This game rules so far. The only real issue I have is the 360 control scheme. Hopefully they patch it to make it configurable but I doubt they will.

I don't see anywhere else to go? There's a stairwell and an elevator in that room. The elevator goes back to Firelink Shrine and the stairwell goes to a boss and the first bell. edit: welp beaten a bunch.

But Not Tonight posted:So I finally figured out where I'm going, sort of, but I don't know what's going on with my Estus flask. When I was resting and reviving at the Firelink shrine, it'd give me 10 charges, but as soon as I got to the Undead Burg it dropped be down to 5. What gives? You can use humanity to kindle a bonfire so it always gives you 10 flasks. The one in Firelink starts off kindled.

But Not Tonight posted:Oh, gotcha. It takes two humanity to kindle a fire, one to reverse hollowing and one to kindle, correct? And they stay kindled indefinitely once started? They stay kindled indefinitely, yeah. I'm not sure if you have to reverse hollowing first because I've always happened to have already done it before trying to kindle.

Jaros posted:I'm still a little confused as to all of what humanity does. The upper left corner shows the humanity counter which I will lose from if I die. I can unhollow with one humanity at a fire to become human. Once human I can kindle a fire wither another humanity to make it give 10 Estus flasks. Human form lets me invade players and get invaded. Am I missing anything? Having extra humanity also increases item drop chance and apparently some other stats that I can't remember.

I feel like whoever designed the control mechanism for kicking was about to get fired and wanted to implement one last "gently caress you". I don't know if it's just the 360 controller or what but it's impossible to do it intentionally and it pretty much always just gets me killed.

Is this some guy I should be executing right now? He's a bad dude, but you want to let him live because you'll get to fight him for rewards later. If you kill him right there you won't get the rewards.

This game really gets exceptionally obnoxious once you go down into the Depths. Is there any way to avoid those things that jump out of the water and eat you from full health? Even knowing where they are I can't see them under the water because it's so dark. I tried shooting them but that didn't do anything. Also, curses. That is just such an unbelievably lovely mechanic.

Curses and the cures are really sapping my will to play. I traded all my cracked red eye orbs for the cure at Sparkly, but apparently the game doesn't recognize stacks so I only got two.

Is there a bonfire in the sewers? I'm in the area with the merchant and the locked door but I can't find any way out or a bonfire. The only way to go is the fog gate and seriously if I have to run all the way back from Firelink every time gently caress that. edit: of course I find it right after I post this. This area is way too dark. Phoix fucked around with this message at Oct 5, 2011 around 17:05 |

Is there a second bonfire in Blighttown? I made it just past the waterwheels to the room with all of the dart-blowers and there's no way I'm going to make it any farther without another bonfire near here. The framerate just gets too bad to rely on 10 flasks for this distance.

The boss after you ring the second bell is an rear end in a top hat. I have no idea how to dodge that fire slam thing he does. I start to roll the second he pulls back but I still get hit by it.

What weapons are you people using around Sen's Fortress? I'm still using the Drake Sword because even after upgrades nothing I have hits as hard with as much speed. It still feels really weak for the enemies I'm fighting, though. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to switch to something else now or if I'm just supposed to feel really weak at this point.

Has anyone been invaded or invaded another person on the 360? Every time I try to do it to someone else I get an error, and I've never been invaded either. A couple friends who have the game said the same thing happens to them. I don't know if it's just a fluke or if it's currently broken.

Got the key from the boss, started with the Master Key, no go. Can I not open it? Is there a specific way I have to use Master Key, or is it automatic? It's automatic. The Master Key only opens certain doors.

Additionally, you can farm these guys really fast with a pretty hilarious trick. Aggro all of the humanoids that you can and then run back to the stairwell entrance. If you stand on the cliff beside it they'll run up the stairs one by one and fall down. It's ~6k souls every minute or so.
