Gorefiend posted:I never once even got gravelord to even work. I ended up saying gently caress it and joining the Darkmoon. I think the reason Gravelord doesn't work at all is that one, people don't know what the signs look like, or two, the signs only show up in worlds within 10% of your current level and in the same area you're in along with the fact that you have to be alive and in a probably well populated area. That would be like, Anor Londo, or the Forest Though apparently Gravelords can infect worlds of Hallow players as well Edit: VerySolidSnake posted:I took a couple of swings at the guy that looks like a marshmellow, and now he's pissed off swinging at me with a giant sword. Phoix posted:This doesn't do anything special with the pendant. Unless you have to do it at a specific point later in the game, going back to your cell just grants you the item to enter the painted world. Which leads to the massive spoiler, apparently, it lets someone recover memories, the 'someone' being a massive, massive spoiler. From what I have seen, the spoiler is obvious but only if you read into it from the start of the game.

I thought I'd finally found a set to replace my starting knight one, but then I find out the loving thing needs Twinkling Titanite for upgrades. The hilarious part is that there's another set of armor that's better than your starting Knight's Armor. Elite Knight's Armor. Only cosmetic difference I've seen is that the helm covers your ugly mug.

I'm gonna go see if I can get Darkwraith first, though. I've already talked to Frampt before going to Anor Londo, so I'm probably hosed. I mean, considering how useful the elemental damage is anyway, and that you don't have to boost str or dex above the minimum for the weapon, you'd think it'd be the other way. Demon's Souls had this issue where pretty much every weapon that mattered had a scaling of Strength, Dex, or Faith of A or S. Why this was a problem I have no idea. When I'm finished with this Spellsword of mine I'm probably going to do a Wanderer start, join Warrior of Sunlight, get Ricard's Rapier. And then fence fuckers to death in Anor Londo while praising the sun with a fire infused sword chucking lightning bolts. It will be horrifying, and it will be grossly incandescent.

Here's a gimmicky build for anyone interested. Take all your durability devouring special move items, just grab Havel's and the Crystal Ring Shield and a weapon with a special move like the Drake Sword or something if it's better. Just go hog wild with it, then whip out your catalyst and cast Repair. Do it again. Wacky PvP I bet?

So I did Four Kings last night under the assumption they had some sort of magic resistance and just equipped my gravelord sword. Did about 80 or so damage a pop two handed and died because I was killing them too slow about 10 times using all my Transient Curses. Switched to my Enchanted Longsword. 250 two handed. Did it on my first try.

Tonight I'm going to devote myself to finishing this Spellsword playthrough. That's provided my reckless spending on League of Legends plus work doesn't put me in a not-Dark Souls mood. And then I'll start that Vit/End/Dex/Faith build with Ricard's Rapier bolsted to +15 and then sunlight blade and then join Warrior of Sunlight. THEN I SHALL MAKE THEM PRAISE THE SUN, HAVE AT YOU! The Moonlight Butterfly Horn sucks rear end don't get it. This, while being very, very true, also means you'll have the most boring of grinds for it. You'll need a total of 8 blue chunks for a fully upgraded enchanted weapon. The only thing that drops the blue chunks are those blue golems infront of the hydra or the same enemy in Crystal Cave.
