The real question is does he actually have any kind of Native American heritage or is it just another white guy with identity issues kind of thing? That whole segment was awkward as all hell regardless.

Bushman makes gadgets already, so combine that with a gunsmith's workshop and his love of killing and you've got a hell of a show.

Is it bad that I can understand everything Will says just as clearly as a news anchor? I mean, I know my childhood was about as redneck as it gets, but I really had no idea it was that bad. You guys make it sound like he's speaking a foreign language.

I think he has a George W. Bush type thing going on where he starts really exaggerating his accent when he's too conscious of being on camera. He shifts between speaking clearly and speaking impenetrable 'Merkin. What has to happen to get YouTube's automatic captioning working? I can't see the results being anything but hilarious. Ah, there it goes.

I've never had a problem understanding him either, and I'm a drat northerner, so it's not like I'm used to that accent or anything. I don't watch much of his show either, though, so...

Ultimately, blood quanta has little to nothing to do to with if someone is "indian" or not. If you were raised around the tribe, know the traditions, care about the fate of the tribe, and are actively involved in it, and ESPECIALLY if you speak the language, then you're an Indian. The native folks I've talked to about this have expressed this as their opinion on the matter. Blood quanta was invented by white people. Most of the indians I've met give no fucks about it. You either are, or your aren't. You aren't 1/4, you aren't 1/64th. Just having a "name" in whatever language doesn't mean poo poo about your "status as an indian" either. I have a name in Kobuk, an Inuit language, because I was working on a language project with a native speaker who thought I was cool and reminder her of a friend that died many years ago.

I get that they needed a gimmick gun, but a .458 Socom for hogs? :WTC: Just get an AR-10. You can spend the same on a .308 MA-Ten, and walk around with 1/2 as much weight. They make better SP/expanding rounds for that. 180gr will destroy a hog. (my experience is with .30-06 primarily, but they are the same gr rounds)

I assure you they do give fucks about how much Indian blood you have whether it is right or wrong it's wrong. Hell, living on Oklahoma my whole life this issue comes up all the time. I have had friends whose parents are both Indian but care nothing about the culture or their heritage, and some classmates who were deeply involved with a tribe but had less of a direct lineage and looked full on pasty Anglo. It is great hearing people argue over "who is more Indian" in person. I understand Will most the time, but he changed his fake dialect so often it can be difficult. He is perfectly capable of speaking clearly, but he tends to mumble with his mouth closed when he "MEANS FUCKIN' BIDNESS"

It is great hearing people argue over "who is more Indian" in person. Because of how the US federal government dealt with determining one's "status as an Indian", of course it's important for tribal membership and the benefits/responsibilities that entails. Though we both agree that it isn't a good measure of one's "indian-ness", nor one that is culturally relevant to most native communities, it's still what is used.

Wait so let me get this straight- Kris can't do something most of us have done in our basements (bolt together a working AR-15) so he bugs the only competent person to stop what he's doing and hold his hand, and the competent guy that produces working guns get punished while the retard gets to go shoot mortars?

Here is what arfcom thinks of Sons of Guns (actual post from arfcom): "I am a big fan of SOG mainly because they blow stuff up and show weapondry one doesn't see on a daily bases (unless your an armor, or have thousands upon thousands of dollars to screw around with). Some of you will hate on that and make fun of the stupidity of making a high claiber AR as some sort of magic new thing. I like the fact that they show some of the options you have in your weapondry. That was until tonight, now I know "reality" tv is still scripted or cut together and retooled to make a story line; however making Chris ""drop"" (yes i put two sets on because it was that obvious) the buffer and have Vince swop in 2 seconds later to "fix" the "problem" is pretty lame. Still going to watch the show but really don't creat problems because you want to make compelling TV"

I have a feeling vince is going to motherfucking up and quit. Startups aren't for everyone. Especially when your loving boss is a retard idiot who has extremely unrealistic expectations. Innovation and hardwork is what sets most startups apart from existing companies. This guy is taking my CEO's "Challenging but not overwhelming" to whole new heights. Another thing...if I were just learning to play guitar (as Kris appears to be), there is no way in hell you could get me to film a scene of me playing (badly) for Ted Nugent. Hell, I've played for 30+ years, and if Nugent said "show me what you got", I'd just say no thanks, TV cameras or not.
