I would love to see that, but don't watch those shows any more for sanity's sake.

So I'm just now watching Sons of Guns, and have a question: does Will actually end up "revolutionizing" modern military and LE operations with his crazy guns? Like with the masterkey setup he did for the swat team, or the "rugged" AR that they sold to the security contractor guarding the nuclear power plants. Do those companies actually buy a ton of those, or is it all just for show? He revamped a boat for the local PD, with an automatic grenade launcher, machine gun, and smoke launcher- does the PD really need all that poo poo?

I started watching "Magnum PI" on netflix. It is much better then I thought it would be. I was really surprised how much it deals with his PTSD from Nam. There are a ton of flashbacks and a bunch of scenes that deal with his memories of war.

New Favorite Magnum PI Moment. He hands his gun (a 1911) to some chick so she can cover the bad guy while he runs off to do something else. He gives her the gun and kinda aims her in the right direction then runs out of the frame. And then runs right back in and flips the safety off for her.

I watched NBC Olympic coverage for about 30 minutes total this whole Olympics, it's so bad. Thank crap for CTV except for the loving "I believe" song and Brian Williams being a pompous rear end. Also I find handball loving hilarious. It's a game played by primary school kids that made it in the Olympics. Next they should add tetherball!!

I'm so very, very glad my exposure to the last 3 Olympics has been almost entirely through video streams. The Comcast/NBC stream this year has been entirely painless: no loggin, no silverlight and hosting by YouTube. Watch live or click a day, pick the sport and watch a replay. It would be nice to have some commentary but I've heard nothing but complaints about NBC's commentary. It would be nice if they didn't play that Gotye clip so often though.

I was watching team handball a bit... felt sorry for the goalies, they got scored on so much. It's like the anti-soccer. Also, is it bad that I want to see what "Stars Earn Stripes" is like? The commercials were all over the NBC Olympics coverage. I have to admit, I liked "Combat Missions" way back when -- that was a Mark Burnett show, too (featuring Scott Helvenston, the Navy SEAL later killed in Fallujah while working for Blackwater.)

I'd be even MORE interested in Stars Earn Stripes if they had pulled the contestant pool from arfcom and TFR exclusively.
