gently caress this stupid connection bullshit. A friend and I can connect to randoms for co-op and to anyone else on our friends list, but not each other. We've both disabled absolutely everything, firewalls and anti-virus but still it won't connect. My record on connect so far is 5 crashes before I get into the game.

I've finally got the hang of MAV kills. The person who posted earlier had it right, you have to go straight through the torso/groin while not touching the ground. My problem was that I was trying to charge them at a 45 degree angle, when you really want to be going in straight.

Anyone using one right now? You need some sort of ghetto drivers for PS3 controllers to work. http://www.motioninjoy.com/help/six...ll-instructions But it isn't recognized as a gamepad by windows so I just use Xpadder(the last freeone, 3.4 or something) to map keyboard and mouse commands to it. It actually makes it more flexible than an actual controller because you can do poo poo like 2 keys pressed with 1 button, press a button to switch to a new set of keys(useful for having different layouts for different vehicles). I actually got a little usb bluetooth dongle and use it wireless. The initial setup is kind of pain but I have had zero problems. One of the things that I really like is the permanent visual upgrades to the vehicles as you unlock stuff for them. Your tank goes from barebones to eventually having all kinds of crap all over it like spare RIMZ and fuel cans. Even the jets and helicopters retain their unlocked weapons even if you haven't selected them making them useless though.

Then they usually crash it straight into the ground or a light pole

Super-secret squirrel method of flying Jets with the Mouse and Keyboard Bind your side buttons to up-arrow/down-arrow. Now you can turn and burn with the best of them while still retaining fine control, no switching control methods required.

Slider posted:I wouldn't recommend buying a joystick for this game I think of myself as a pretty decent pilot and I also do not recommend joystick for this game. I strongly recommend keyboard/mouse combo for flying jets. It may be weird at first but keep at it. Also I see people saying how it's impossible to fly with low dpi mouse but that is wrong. I am flying with a 6 year old ms mouse and I'm doing fine. The key is to use the neg acceleration. Don't make a long line with the mouse to turn. Make a very small line, slowly and you will notice that the jet will keep the pitch even if you lift your mouse up Happy flying ~ (and get show down by me heh

I actually bound a key to pitch up (X) so that evasive manoeuvres were easier to make in a panic. I use the mouse for most of my flying and aiming, but when I want to turn and burn I just hold X and shift for afterburners. I agree that joysticks and control pads for the jets are actually trickier than just using the mouse. I do use an Xbox 360 controller for helis though, that seems to work alright.
