God why can't it just be the weekend already. No I don't want to go into work, much rather be playing BF3 all day. I think I may be coming down with a legitimate cold however, here's hoping for a sick day! Had some great matches last night with some goons on WookWook and TukTuk. If anyone is up for some co-op or some more MP action tonight, search my soldier name AtomicSX in battlelog.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing airplanes come out of nowhere to hit the ground twenty feet in front of me, or tanks on fire rolling backwards through fences, nearly running me over. My only gripe so far is that I'd really like some ATVs. Riding them up stairs would make the clusterfucks on Metro conquest way more hilarious.

Am I missing something or is the ping not showed in battle log? I'm just trying to pick a server that won't lag too much as I'm basically in the middle of the north atlantic. Edit: apparently i was missing a browser plug in. cheers.

Origin Advice, if you keep losing your files (as in going up to 90% then deleting the entire folder) and you resort to backing up the folder every 10%. Don't. According to an EA guy there is a pause bug where if you pause more than three times it will corrupt both the BF3 folder and the Origin downloader. You will see what I saw. I had to delete it and start over, in 3 hours I can play the game. I've been downloading since the 21st due to dropped connections and corrupted saves. Worst bug I've come across is the commorose getting stuck blinking on my screen, leaving my mouse input hosed. Can look but can't fire or anything.

Running a 460GT with an I5 and 4GB of ram. Runs everything great at high. But since I'm using a tv as monitor, it can only go up to 1360 before it starts looking weird. The only bug I've noticed at the moment was watching a jet slam into a hill nose first. For some reason, the jet didn't explode upon impact and instead bounced backwards about 5 or 6 feet before exploding in mid air. I laughed.

Goddamn I feel like a bond villain every time I fire the stinger. Stinger/mines is the way to play with the engineer on big open maps, at least until I get the javelin. I just hope the UMP is good of a murder machine it was in bc2 (lvl 17 unlock ugh). e; speaking on mines, if I pay two down on top of each other will that one shot a tank? DICE has out-Modern Warfare'd Modern Warfare...... the scripted melee fight scenes were damned horrible, but were a completely CoD thing to do. the flashbacks to the Black Ops style interrogation...at least it made more sense than Black Ops. If the goal of this game was to combine every obnoxious part of CoD just to spite Activision and show how bad their model is, they certainly have succeeded. It's okay because SP is merely a bonus in this completely MP game.

God gently caress this artifacting. I only seem to get it on on outdoor maps so I can basically only play Metro which is awful. I've got up to date drivers, my Gpu temps are fine and I've done the repair install. Anyone else having this problem with their gtx 560ti? It's super lame :[

So does BF3 have some sort of onslaught mode that BC2 had on consoles? I really want this for the PC. Seems like it does but sadly, virtual oceans prevent me from unlocking my copy of the game until Friday. I would appreciate somebody confirming this.

Am I the only person to have fallen in love with the AAV-7A1 AMTRAC on Kharg and Canals? I love just sitting in that thing and getting kill after kill with the 9-round grenade cannon. The cannon is a beast and can disable other light armor with one salvo, destroy with two, and has a wonderful arc and splash for demolishing infantry behind cover. Or you could just demolish the cover. I got an awesome 5-kill and one team-kill moment when I dropped a building on the defending team just seconds after I exploded. Best part? The AMTRAC has no unlocks itself (probably because there's no Russian equivalent), so all the points you earn from the death-cannon, or being the death-cannon's driver, and your squad spawning in on the machine go straight to whatever kit you're wearing.

New thread so I figure I'll ask again: Has anyone managed to get a wireless 360 controller working? Or has anyone attempted it and had it fail so I at least know its not just me? Mine is totally unresponsive. I'm pretty sad that I cant fly jets yet (Not digging the keyboard controls for jets)

However.. there is NO virtual ocean if you do the proxy unlock method, and it's really drat simple and it should be in the OP so people stop saying they have to wait, because YOU DONT.
