Steam never buckled under like this, and I was there for the launch, I was there for HL2, I was there for Ep1, Ep2, Portal 1 and 2. But at least we're not the guys trying to get our SWTOR headstart action on. We have it very good compared to them.

I really like LMG's because of how different they are depending on their loadout. The pecheneg for example does really well at long range with iron-sights and the fast scopes if you burst. Some of the other LMGs hold up pretty well on continuous firing at medium ranges too, which helps a ton with suppression. I'd say they are still really good, try different setups. And yeah, the new maps are pretty drat fun.

So I am debating buying this game but I have heard a ton of Origin horror stories. Is it really that bad? By horror stories I mean people being locked out of their account, getting charged multiple times, not receiving games they've paid for, etc. and horrible customer service that is basically completely unhelpful.

I've never bothered or managed to get a Repair Tool kill before today, and I feel like I've cheated myself out of so much fun. It is the greatest thing ever to sneak on a tank and weld it to death. The idiot drove up to the City flag in Gulf of Oman in his stolen Abrams and couldn't look far enough up to see the lone engineer up on a rooftop. Two rockets later and he's looking around and I land on his roof and start welding, instantly disabling him so he can't escape. Hopefully. - Multiple charges happen with pre-ordered products exclusively, from my knowledge, showing that something is up with their poo poo. - Customer support is fine if you get one who has a basic grasp of the English language. I didn't.

Right now a bunch of us are locked out and pissed off, but overall I think the horror stories are exaggerated and are partly due to poor communication on EA's part. I mean, I had something telling me to buy the expansion and showing that my friends had bought it when I knew I preordered it. But instead of pissing and moaning I just waited for it to unlock and it did. Of course, Origin is at least partially hosed at the moment. Sometimes there are lovely rounds and some of the maps are weak, but the new maps seems great and the game is worth it. Tons 'o fun. Of course, I haven't played anything online since BF2 so I don't have any alternative to compare to. You will probably find it frustrating early on because people have had a good head-start grinding up equipment, but brains and tactics outdo unlocks in most situations, so you'll get yours soon enough. Assuming of course that you have any brains.

So guns that were fully automatic now randomly jam when you fire them? I'm having issue with both the rifles and carbines where it seems to randomly stop firing when I hold down left click. The rehashed bf2 maps do rule though. They feel like real battlefield maps and the new destruction effects are pretty cool.

They're all unlocked by default. Scroll down to the very bottom of the dogtag page. e: *wow* I just got the reset password email and where it says "click the url to reset password" there isn't even a URL. It's just a bunch of alphanumerical nonsense with a line underneath it like it's supposed to be a URL.

If the big compass of things to say pops up, it stops you from firing. I kept doing this in tank gunner seats and thought that I was having some weird audio glitch, but nope. But no, I don't think they should be doing that.

With the upped amount of vehicles you have 3/4 of each team sitting in a vehicle of some kind while the rest sort of farts around, making engineer basically the only viable class in that situation.
