Hey, speaking of audio, is there any way to crank BF3's volume up? I've been having to put my sound up to like 90%, which is deafening in any other program but just right for BF3. ed: also, is there a way to up the sensitivity just for jets? I've got evasive flying down to an acceptable level with just WASD+arrows, but once it's time to shoot someone that's too clunky and the mouse is too slow. I'm so happy that pistols are getting a buff. I instinctively pull them out at low ammo or use them for long-range suppressive fire when I'm toting a buckshot pump, but with the way they are now it's often not even worth it.

One of my favorite things about BF3 is how grooving with a particular gun is more important than choosing the "best" one.

If you're going to put a scope on it do the 4x or the fast sighting 3.4x that I am personally fond of. Yeah, in the rare instances that I play Recon with a sniper rifle, I find that an ACOG is more than good enough for helping my squad with threats outside their range. That and using the spawn beacons whenever you all stop to heal/restock in cover or get bogged down in a protracted firefight.

They're good for getting points and on most of the larger maps are a necessity for advancing to certain capture points/MCOMs. this is something I wish all pubs would figure out. I get that driving a tank full speed into a capture point firing shells at every standing structure isn't the best tactic, but even the mere shock value of that and blind hope that it'll accidentally coincide with an infantry push is a better use of resources than letting it sit in your base.

Do you lose stuff you earn in a round if you get kicked? I usually only knife when it's a sure thing so I didn't have the melee ribbon yet, but last night I got bored on Metro and flanked then knifed like half the enemy team in one life. Problem is, my "disconnect" came immediately after so I think it was a kick and now I don't have that ribbon or even a record that I played that round
