This happens to me too maybe once every 5 or so map countdowns. I'm pretty sure it's been saving my progress though.

Yeah the biggest tip I can think of for a recon is to get that goddamn giant scope off the gun. If you're going to put a scope on it do the 4x or the fast sighting 3.4x that I am personally fond of.

Battle recons who fight alongside or a little bit behind their allies are the most useful and get the most points. Their respawn beacons will turn the tide of a battle and they can defend a wide area with their good range.

While those guys who stick the biggest scope they have on their gun and sit as far back as possible are not much help to their team and usually do poorly for points.

Yeah, in the rare instances that I play Recon with a sniper rifle, I find that an ACOG is more than good enough for helping my squad with threats outside their range. That and using the spawn beacons whenever you all stop to heal/restock in cover or get bogged down in a protracted firefight.

this is something I wish all pubs would figure out. I get that driving a tank full speed into a capture point firing shells at every standing structure isn't the best tactic, but even the mere shock value of that and blind hope that it'll accidentally coincide with an infantry push is a better use of resources than letting it sit in your base.
