I'm on the Mortar now, and it's only worth taking when you have no chance to JihadJeep. Which is on a lot of maps. I took out four or five enemies with a single shell. They were on the Hill of Caspian, I was closer to the Russian spawn.

Okay, Mortar using Support buddies. What maps make it a must-have that aren't Rush clusterfucks? Bazaar, Caspian and Seine is about it for me.

I already heard that the campaign is poo poo, and because I had so much fun with the multi in Bad Company 2 that I am tempted not to bother at all. The campaign is not poo poo. The AI is a dickbag, the scripting breaks and glitches too easily, but otherwise it's a worthy trip through on Hard because it teaches you the importance of using cover and aiming right in critical (badly wounded) situation. Going through it helped me become a far better player in infantry combat.

Know what little single player deal I liked from BC2? A checklist of what weapons there were to pick up in each map. Gave me a little something to look for. Know what I loved about MW1? Doing it over and over in Arcade Mode. A sick amount of replay-value and fun that went missing afterwards. I wish BF3's campaign had these two things.

I just finished the co-op and you need 1) a good person you know who has some skills in FPS gaming and 2) voice comms. That is the recipe for an amazing time. Finished all of the missions. It's faptacular. If they drop paid DLC offers for more, I'm buying. It makes MW2 Spec Ops look like a pile of dogshit, but it's the wet smeary kind of dogshit that is useless and no fun, you can't even put a firecracker in it.

The UMP is apparently heading for a buff next patch so maybe it could be something! Only deal with the LMGs is that they deal a tiny bit more damage than other bullets and have huge mags, while ARs beat sniper rifles & everything in close combat, even my shotguns most of the time when I'm right on target after killing two of their friends just seconds ago from the same range. People favour Assault to play for a good reason, and that is that assault rifles are the only bullet spewing weapon you need ever, they are rock to scissors, scissors to paper, paper to rock all at the same time. Unless your shotgun decides to work properly and instagib them when you poke it between their ribs and pull the trigger. Shotguns = Skillguns
