Watched it twice. Between that and this thread (thank God for you guys, seriously, I had no idea about the whole 'Green Sun being created' thing there) I think I got everything, but one thing is still sticking in my craw.

This page vaguely describes the circumstances of Jack's arrival in the Trolls' session.

Doc Scratch posted:

The Slayer was, for the moment, unmotivated by the Thief's motion for a compelling duel. This side of The Scratch, he opted for a more ruthless and calculating policy of extermination. On his arrival, not about to repeat the mistakes leading to his banishment, he quickly obliterated all twelve planets, followed by Prospit and Derse, to weed out those who might outsmart him in the same manner.

That doesn't really gel with the flash, the way I saw it, but it's possible I'm just interpreting either the flash or this page wrong. In general, I'm sorta foggy on why he stuck himself in the time capsule and murdered all the exiles in the first place. How did he know it would plant him in the Trolls' universe where he could get a shot at Bilious Slick? And why were the exiles blowing up the stations in the first place? To try and make sure Jack wouldn't be able to show up and use them?

Help.

Hussie once said something to the effect of "I consider Act 5 to be THE BIG MOTHERFUCKER OF HOMESTUCK".

I'm not getting this Aradia is evil vibe that everyone else is, did I miss something?

I think it's partially because the look she has when Rose and Dave come out of the meteor is a little and sinister-looking, and partially because of what we just learned regarding her ancestor and her role as a servant of Lord English.

Basically, we're scared that Aradia, Dave and Rose might now be chumps for Lord English. I sorta doubt that, I more think that Lord English might use TIME CLONES of the dead trolls and guardians or whatever at some point, though.

He wasn't Jade's guardian, Bec was.

Anyhow, he probably just went back to Earth through a defense portal or something after picking up Dream Jade's body. What isn't explained is how he got into the Medium in the first place.

Maybe the defense portals go both ways!

The fact that we never saw Jade's grandpa go through a defense portal back to Earth makes me think him and his ship might be somewhere, shrunken down with the rest of the Incipisphere. Which might be a paradox, but who gives a poo poo, the universe just got destroyed and reset at the same time.

Major Characters That Jack Noir Hasn't Killed:
1. Peregrine Mendicant
2. Grandpa Harley
3. Becquerel
4. Andrew Hussie
?. Vriska Serket - this is in the maybe pile, depending on whether or not Slick (who is technically Jack Noir!) breaking that God Tier clock killed Vriska or not.

Jack Noir has killed literally every other major character in this comic. A lot of them more than once.

Hussie's explanation about Bec Noir's trip makes a hell of a lot more sense to me now - he didn't really know where he was going or what would happen when he got there, he just kept going "Oh poo poo, this universe is dying better get out of dodge" and "Oh look, dudes. " respectively until he got to Bilious Slick.

I'm not gonna delude myself into thinking that Hussie knew any of the events of Cascade two and a half years ago (okay, he probably knew broad "Jack Noir murders everyone" and "The Scratch happens" stuff), but really, the degree to which he kept all of this poo poo so heavily interconnected while still leaving it pretty legitimately easy to understand if you pay attention, not to mention the guy's insane work ethic is all worthy of praise.

Nah. If Jack beats Vriska, he just goes on to killing Bilious Slick, PM shows up after him, they're at the same point they are in the EoA.

Actually, it occurs to me that even if he's in a beta timeline, Jack HAS to use Red Miles on Bilious Slick at some point, since he already went to Earth and saw it being used, which made him escape to the troll universe.

Or maybe he doesn't have to because that's the entire point of a beta timeline.

I have to wonder how Hussie is going to pace Act 6 with this "new world stuff" that won't make it tiring since we've gone through this thing like twice now basically. It's neat in the implications and where he can go with it, but the directions will ultimately be tempered one way or another by the need to keep it moving with some level of alacrity lest the whole crew ends up off screen for like six months again.

He's got four introductions to convey as many bulletpoints as possible. From there, I'm reasonably sure we'll probably be able to figure out the rest ourselves. I have a few guesses as to what we're dealing with here already (troll empire rules the planet, maybe somewhat benevolently, but probably not), but I could be way off course.

I wager this UU is a member of this first troll session, which would complete this multi-universal, mobious double-reacharound quite nicely.

And there, in the lid of the chest, is this universe's version of John. It sure is going to be weird to have both the guardian-version and the kid-version of the kids rolling around in the same universe.

I have little doubt that First Guardian powers are enough to heal potentially life-ending wounds like WV's, but it would take an amount of precision that I doubt PM is capable of employing right now. Plus, some of his carapace is probably still in the other universe.

Then again, I have my doubts slapping the ring on him would save his life either. If for no other reason that it would be super loving lame to have PM put the ring on, face off with Jack in one of the most visually striking and tense moments in the comic period, and then just have her toss the ring off to WV.
