I froze the original Swype with Titanium Backup and downloaded the beta installer, but after jumping through the hoops and pressing install, I get a "Application not installed" message. Frozen is still installed. Make a backup of Swype then uninstall it. ManMythLegend posted:Holy cow. Thanks for this. I'm loving the quick controls. I loved quick controls on the Honeycomb browser. It's just too bad the rest of the browser was slow and didn't handle Flash well.

Roundboy posted:I even wiped online and started over, but I still get bad meta data that just doesn't exist local. Currently 100% off my stuff is online, and I moved a single album local using the Google music app, and showing only offline stuff gives me a much bigger list then just the one, not to mention I can't find out anywhere in local or internal storage. Moving stuff to a music folder results in duplicate entries Every song you play gets cached on your device whether you want it to or not. Music is stored, with a stupid naming scheme, in sdcard/android/data/com.google.android.music/cache/music. Interestingly, I just checked that folder on mine and it has a nomedia file in it.

I don't care if some complete stranger thief sees stuff, it's more for a family member or some nosy jerk at work. You could remove the extension of the pictures, then if you click on them in ES File Explorer, it'll ask you if you want to open it as an image/video/audio/document. Downside is you have to open them individually rather than flipping through them, but if you give them obscure system-type names, nobody is going to look at them.

If you get it from one, you don't get it from the other (but you can probably use both to get to 5).

I'm not sure of this ever got mentioned, but Cerberus anti-theft is giving away free licenses through today through their Facebook page. I can't easily provide a link right now but I'm sure you can find it. You have to download the app and create an account first, then give them your cerberus ID and email through their web form. Seems like a pretty nice app.

No. Good apps are worth money and especially a launcher. There is literally no other app on your phone you interact with more than it. I'd say I spend way more time in greader or Awful on any given day than on my homescreen or app drawer. Do you just stare at your homescreen or what?
