An overhead shot of an STI and a BRZ trailing each other through a winding mountain pass, both totally hauling. The STI pulls ahead on the straights, but the BRZ makes up time in the curves. Slow motion shot of synchronized drifting through a couple of really tight turns.

They park up at the top, overlooking a breathtaking panorama. An attractive mid-30's guy gets out of each car, they walk up to each other, embrace, and kiss.

Love. Subaru.

So you want a Skyline?

What exactly is the pricerange on this, has it been announced? Is it Genesis/mustang base territory or something more like WRX territory?

I was thinking while I was out for a drive, how the hell is toyota going to market this in the US? The cars selling point (handling) is basically an intangible feature. I haven't had the best luck with car salesmen really letting you wind out a car on some twisty roads. At least the miata doubled as a convertible to get some sales volume.

I'd love to see a VW type driver experience where you get to flog the car on an autocross track. Got to see what a nice handling car the GTI was.

Not to mention the middle third of the country doesn't even really have twisty roads!

If its only getting around 23/30 EPA that isn't much better than a V6 Mustang, no?

If it does come in around 21K, I think it'll be pretty successful. Not selling 200K units a year successful but still pretty good. How much were ITRs when they were new?

there's no way that even the world's biggest Space Mountain of HVAC electronics can be worse than vacuum controlled HVAC systems wooo yeah party hard.

I don't really have an issue with my automatic climate control. If i don't give a poo poo, I just push the go button. If I want defrost or whatever the gently caress, I hit that button and then adjust the fan settings etc much like I would with a normal manual control set. What's the big issue?

You want to be comfortable while driving your car? What the gently caress is wrong with you!

If the base model comes in at 20K in the US then I imagine they'll sell pretty well.

Does Subaru have production facilities in the US? Are they capable of running the platform there?

Yeah right now a lot of Japanese companies are posting record losses because of the earthquake/nuclear disaster and despite all the QE the Japanese government is doing they can't seem to devalue the Yen at all.

It's 0-60 times might be pedestrian for a modern vehicle but I'm pretty sure with modern rubber it'll out handle your mom's rav4 or whatever.

Does the Fusion sport actually change anything in the suspension or is just an appearance package?

Maybe its to make it contrast from the rest of the lights on the dash so you don't forget to turn off your brights and enrage every driver going the opposite way as you?

Wait, how do we know that a car that just came out isn't full of horrible design flaws like plastic expansion tanks and radiators that like to blow up or shock tower mounts that tear and poo poo?

I heard they have fixed up the initial bugs that came with MyFord Touch. It used to be absolutely atrocious though. It's more than just a matter of preference and user friendliness as it was with the initial complaints about Audi and BMW's infotainment systems. Well isn't it designed and backed by microsoft? Everyone knows it takes 3 revisions for a microsoft product to not suck.

This is a buddy of mine. He had an e28 5 series several years ago and he didn't like to rev it past 4K because "I dunno man, it's pretty old." Hey, his car, he can drive it how he wants, though.

He drives a Mustang GT now so I guess he doesn't have to worry about the scary range above 2K.

Hey if that was a 528e the red line wasn't much higher than 4k anyways

When they first came out 10 or 15 years ago they were touted as the future when they wound up being pretty mediocre and breaking after less than 100k miles. I'm sure the technology has improved since then but automotive perceptions always seem to lag about 10 years.
