 This is the second part of the Chapter 2 Mondo/Chihiro free time scenes (the first post got too long). For those of you updating in real time, I'm finishing it off in one go! Enjoy!  My stash of presents is getting small on my chapter 2 saves, and most of them are ones that I want to give other people, so for the rest of these scenes I'm going to skip the present stage and go straight to the dialogue. Also, we're going back to Mondo.   Yo, Naegi... There's something... very important I must ask you. W...what's wrong? You're so serious all of a sudden...  Just shut up and listen. So, which do you like? Dogs or cats? ...Huh?   Just answer! I'll kick you if you don't! Just so you know, I like dogs! So tell me what do you like, you bastard!!Do I like dogs or cats... I don't think I really have a preference... But since Oowada-kun likes dogs, I guess...  I like cats / I like bears / I like dogs I think... I like bears best...  Bears? That's a strange choice for a pet... Don't tell me, you think Monobear is cute...?  No, let's not talk about that. I have a feeling that fucker will jump out of somewhere and ruin our day. Huh, I think that's the first free time update that's actually made me like Naegi even more. I mean, I like that it built up Mondo and Chihiro, but it's nice to see the too-normal main character get some development, too. Also, "I like bears best!"

Edit: The second line is "Crazy Diamonds", the rest is too pixelated for me to read... I don't think the game expects anyone to see any of the characters' final scene on the first playthrough. Not only did we kill Chihiro, but since the murder was so spur of the moment that it was basically a psychotic break, we also indirectly led Mondo to his doom by giving him the opportunity to be a murderer! zetsubou

Naegi gets a good bit of developement in those final interactions. That's the bit that caught my eye when he talked to Mondo:orenronen posted:
He's showing a good bit of self awareness there. His lack of a ruling passion (and a certain blandness...) is something plenty of people have griped about and it's nice seeing it acknowledged by the protagonist. Especially since it shows his emotional response to it and how it pains him as well. He said something similar in his talk with Chihiro but in that case it was more about his lack of an exceptional skill, making him feel a bit uselss, rather than of something to devote his life to and be passionate about. The Chihiro talk, so close to avoiding disaster. It just happened to be how things played out and there was no way we could have known. It is still painful to see though. The final interaction with Mondo also just twists the knife in the wound. He had his deep weaknesses but again he also had a certain humility and self awareness there. all round.

Wow, it's really cool that they gave the characters extra possessions in their room. I thought they'd all be as empty as Naegi's (I guess he's just boring). Anyone feel like cataloguing all the items in everyone's room? Mondo's is difficult to tell, but he seems to have a red and white checked tablecloth, a baseball bat and lead pipe leaning against the wall...A couple of wall hangings and a giant black fabric poster (can anyone read what the last two say?). It also looks like there's something at the end of the bed, but it's too small and I can't make it out.

We can't let Monobear get to us! The original result of our actions would've been to set up Chihiro and Mondo to be badass workout buddies. That is a fine and noble goal! It was his actions that drove our bros to murder. This game better end with Naegi punching a hole straight through his fluffy felt head. Also ing at how Monobear gave Chihiro a telescope for her room... and some pictures of the night sky to look at through them. That's just cold.
